Chapter 11: Mystery Caller

  "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

  Jack looked at me in panic and confusion.

  "Why are you yelling?" He asked.

  "Shhh.... I just want a little payback." I whispered. And as of cue, Renz came barging in with a shock and panicking expression.

  "WHAT HAPPENED, REIN?" Renz yelled upon entering. He was panting hard and his shock expression turned to confusion when he saw me smirking or was it because Jack was sitting on the railings?

  "Oh hey Jack." He said awkwardly. He looked away from me and refused to meet my raging eyes.

  "RENZ CASPIAN SMITH!" I said while rubbing my temples in frustration.

  "Oh, would you look at the time. I need to leave. Got things to do!" Renz said with a pale face. He was about to leave but i stopped him.

  "Stay where you are young man!" I hissed. He immediately stopped in his tracks and hesitantly looked at me. Jack on the other hand, was sitting there quietly. When he saw Renz's pale expression, he whistled awkwardly. He bit his lower lip trying to prevent himself from laughing.

  "Y-Yes?" Renz asked me.

  "Tell me one reason why you allowed a stranger enter our house? " i asked sweetly but my voice came out bitterly.

  "Hey, I'm not a stranger!" Jack yelled. I glared at him and he quickly shut his mouth.

  "Yes, he isn't. " Renz countered.

  "And why is that?" I asked with an eyebrow raised and crossed arms.

  "He is-" "I'm talking to Renz, Jack!" I cut Jack off. He chuckled nervously but kept quiet.

  "Umm..Because he's a friend of mine...?" Renz said but it came out more like a question.

  I looked at him like he grown two heads.

  "WHAT?!"

  "I said his a frien-" "No, i heard you the first time. I mean is how and why?" I asked cutting him off.

  "What do you mean by 'Why'?" Renz asked while raising an eyebrow.

  "I mean his arrogant, cocky and-" "*Ahem* I'm *Ahem* still *Ahem* here.." I was interrupted by a fake cough coming from Jack. I looked at him and shot him an apologetic smile. 'Oopps, i forgot that he's still here. Hehe ' i thought.

  "Sorry, Jack. No offense though. And Just answer the question, Renz." I said, sighing in frustration.

  "I know his idiotic, cocky, mean, cold, and stupid but still, he's a good friend." Renz said while shrugging.

  "You mean, your friends? For how long?" I asked.

  "I don't know.. 3 or 2 years i guess." Jack answered.

  "How?" I asked.

  "He's a new recruit when i became the team captain back then. And Me and my teammate have a close bond." Renz said with a shrug.

  "And i just suspected that your her sister yesterday when he called you. I forgot to ask you and it kinda bothered me so i went here to confirm it." Jack said with a shrug.

  My mouth formed an 'o'. I was about to say something but, for the second time today, my phone rang. I jumped slightly due to shock. Renz laughed while Jack chuckled. I glared at them before answering the phone.

  "Hello, Rein speaking."

  "Rein.." said the person from the other end. The voice was low and husky so i assumed the his a boy. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was from an anonymous number. I frowned.

  "Yes. May i know who this is?" I asked him.

  "I'm sorry.." his voice was familiar and i can clearly tell that he was sincere and sad.

  "Uhhh.. For what?" I asked. Renz and Jack just looked at me with a curious face.

  "Delia, I'm sorry. For hurting you..." he said. My eyes widened when i heard what he said.

Delia..

Delia..?

Delia..!

  Only one person calls me that. Francis!

  "Uhh.. Francis....?" I said more like asked. I bit my lower lip, nervous on what he's gonna say. Renz and Jack just stood there, motionless.

  "Yes. Its me, Delia.."

  "H-How did you got my number?"

  "That's not important now. I just want to ask if we can meet?"

  I hesitated. What does he want from me? Its not that i hate him. Its just were not in good terms after that rejection thingy. But why does he want to meet me now?

  I don't want to go but curiosity will kill me.

  "Uhhh.. Fine.."

  "Great. Meet me at the park in 40 minutes."

  "Ok.."

  and with that, i ended the call..
