Chapter 22: Last Day of the Time Limit

  Once Francis was done chatting over his phone, he made his way towards their table but stopped midway. Its because he saw that Jack and Rein was chatting and laughing about something.

  He felt a sharp pain erupted from his chest. Maybe its the fact that he's seeing Rein this happy with another guy.

  Never. And he mean never did he saw Rein smile and laugh like that when their together. Maybe its the fact that she doesn't feel the same way as he does.

  Seeing her like this made Francis realize something. Maybe he's being selfish. He know that he can't make her that happy so he came to one option. TO LET GO..

  "Hey, Francis. What are y-"

  Before Jessa could finish, she decided to stop mid sentence since she spotted the sight of Jack and Rein.

  "They look cute together, do they?" -Jessa.

  Francis looked shocked while gazing at Jessa. He was confused on why she's acting like this cause all this time he thought that she likes Jack.

  "What are you talking about?" -Francis.

  "Looks like secrets out. Well, you see, i don't like Jack. It was all an act." -Jessa.

  This made Francis more confused.

  "A-act?" -Francis.

  "Yes, the first time i saw them together made me suspect that they secretly like each other. And being a match maker i'am, i decided to act all b*tchy towards Jack to make Rein jealous. That way, she would finally realize and admit her own feelings towards Jack." -Jessa.

  Francis managed to crack up a smile. He knew that Jessa's right. The way that they look and act towards each other, no doubt that they like one another but both are to dense to notice.

  "Wanna grab dessert and leave the two lovebirds alone? I know a good place." -Francis.

  "Yeah, sure." -Jessa.

  They both started to make their way to Jack and Rein's table.

  "Hey, guys. You see, something came up. I need to go. Sorry, Rein." -Francis.

  Me and Jack both looked at Francis and Jessa who just approached our table, confused faces.

  "Ok..?" -Me.

  "Ohh, and Jack. I need to go too. A friend of mine had a serious heartbreak. She needs company. I hope you understand." -Jessa.

  "I do" -Jack.

  With that, they both left us. Me and Jack faced eachother with confused faces but decided to laugh it out.

  Hmmm, this date didn't turned out bad. It should be me and Francis but it turned to be mine and Jack's own date. Its my own point of view.

  Its been 4 months since that 'date' and me and Jack seemed to be bestfriends.

  Were always together and only sleep and bath can seperate us. Those passed few months also made me realized my true feelings. I'm already inlove with Jack but i'm afraid to admit it to him. He might not like me back and it'll destroy our friendship. I don't want that.

  Call me a coward but that's just how it is..

  And that Last sign hasn't came true yet. And i'm afraid it won't since the one year time limit is almost due..

*Kring Kring Kring*

  I lazily stood up from my bed and started to get dress for school.

  I'm really worried since my the one year time limit will be due today after lunch.. Oh God, its nearly the most impossible one to. Raining in Egypt? If i know, i should have picked a lot more easier like a white dove, rainbow or a full moon perhaps.. -__-

  After having breakfast and bidding goodbye, i headed to school. I hurriedly made my way to my locker and guess what i saw. A silhouette of a very familiar man. Jack.

  He was leaning on my locker with a hesitant look.

  "Umm.. Hey, Jack" -Me.

  He looked up to me. He's once frowning face was replaced with a bright smile that enlightened my day.

  "Hey. Can you meet me at the rooftop later at lunch. I have something to tell you." -Jack.

  With one last smile, he left. His words kept on repeating on my head.

  What does he want to tell me that he need to tell it later?

  Class went like a blur. Before i knew it, Lunch time already arrived. Before i knew it, i was climbing the stairs to the rooftop.

  I opened the door leading to the rooftop, and a cold breeze hit my face causing me to shiver.

  I saw Jack leaning on the metal railings of the school rooftop with a serious look on his face.

  Just what is this important thing that he wanted to tell me?
