"Evelyn, are you sure you want to do this?"

"Positive."

"You won't see your family again."

"I know. But they won't remember me."

"Your right."

"Your doing a brave thing."

"I've always wanted to be brave."

A week later:

A girl slowly walked down the staircase of her home. It will be the last time she would ever see it. She tucked a strand of her wavy brown hair behind her ear. Her warm brown eyes with tears falling. She had to do this. It had to be this way.

"Evelyn! Come in here, it's time for dinner." Her sister called from the other room. It was time. Evelyn stepped into the room, and her sister noticed her tears.

"Are you alright?" Her twin sister asked. Her sister stood up from the couch and walked over to Evelyn.

"I'm sorry Hermione. I love you." Evelyn said. Hermione looked even more confused.

"I love you too, but what are you talking about? Why are you sorry." Hermione asked. Evelyn pulled out her wand. Hermione became alarmed and looked at her sister.

"No! Don't!"

"Obliviate."

Hermione's face relaxed and she walked back to the couch and sat down again. Evelyn walked into the kitchen where her parents were.

"I love you mom. I love you dad. Obliviate." Evelyn said crying. Evelyn couldn't stay there anymore. She grabbed her hoodie, wand, and a bag and left to meet Dumbledore.

Kings Cross Station:

Evelyn raised her hood and walked into the train station. Even though it was later in the evening, there was still quite a lot of people. She weaved in and out and went to where platform 9 3/4 was located. She casually slipped through the barrier and noticed it was different at night. No lights were on, save for one, the train was parked, off, and ready for tomorrow. The only person on the magical platform was Headmaster Albus Dumbledore of Hogwarts.

"Hello professor." Evelyn said sullenly. Dumbledore gave her a nod that Evelyn perceived as, 'I'm sorry you had to do that.'

"The final check. Please, give this letter to myself. I will understand immediately. The letter contains info about who you will live with, what your new surname will be, and the house you must be put in. Slytherin. It won't work unless your in Slytherin. You must put up a pretense that you are pureblood. Please, do all you can to make him stray from his dark path. Understood?" Dumbledore asked gravely. Evelyn nodded, determined.

"You know you can never come back. You will be stuck there, until you die." Dumbledore warned. His eyes showed deep sympathy and concern.

Evelyn stood up straighter, "I know the risks, I am prepared." She said.

Dumbledore nodded gravely, "Alright."

Dumbledore reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold trinket. It glittered in the light and was very beautiful. Evelyn had seen one before because of her sister. Evelyn gingerly took it and put the necklace on her.

"Here goes nothing. Thank you, and goodbye." Evelyn said.

"No. Thank you, you are risking your life to try to save the wizard world." Dumbledore said.

Evelyn took a deep breath and twisted the knob a number of times. Images suddenly blurred around her. She saw different people show up and disappear. Trains coming and going. Years going by. Soon Evelyn found herself standing on Platform 9 3/4. But not where she had been before. The station was different. New. Evelyn turned around in every direction to get a look. Wizards and witches bustling about, their children holding their hands. Time definitely had not slowed down.

Evelyn quickly grabbed her stuff, and boarded the Hogwarts Express. She walked down the hallways shyly and looked to see what compartment she could sit in. Wait, Evelyn paused, she should get into the robes Dumbledore had given her. Evelyn walked to the bathroom and locked the door. She changed out of her clothes and put on the unfamiliar Slytherin robes. Dumbledore said it was of utmost importance that she pretend to be in Slytherin.

Dumbledore had also told her to take on a new persona. Evelyn would pretend to be the diva that every house had. She stuck stupid high heels on her small feet and stood up. She wobbled for a second but caught her balance. She looked to the mirror and at herself. She looked just like her sister, but that was to be expected. They were twins. Evelyn waved her wand and beautiful curls appeared in her hair. She waved her wand again and makeup bloomed on her face. She looked.... different. It wasn't her. Oh well.

Evelyn walked out of the bathroom and immediately went pale. Dumbledore never mentioned what to say if people asked why she is here now! Students just don't randomly show up for fifth year! Evelyn calmed herself down and opened the door to the nearest compartment. Three heads snapped her direction. A boy with blonde hair and green eyes was the first one she noticed. He looked her up and down. Trying to pin if he knew her. The other boy had a snarl to his face and had brown hair and blue eyes. He didn't look friendly. The last one had black hair and dark eyes. He seemed intrigued. Evelyn's breath hitched. It's him.

"Who are you?" He asked. Evelyn paled. It was him. Evelyn stood straight and smirked. Any indication she was scared was gone. On the inside she cringed, she was not a diva! She was a sweet Hufflepuff!

"Evelyn Montmorency. Pureblood. Slytherin." Evelyn said putting a hand on her hip. Ugh. This was not her. Dumbledore said she had to act prissy and mean because he would like that.

"I've never seen you at Hogwarts." The boy said with a raised eyebrow.

"My parents home schooled me until now. They are overprotective, but I convinced them." Evelyn said. She internally crossed her fingers hoping the lie worked. The boy relaxed back into the seat.

"Take a seat Evelyn." The boy said with a smirk. Evelyn returned it and sat across from him.

"Oh, by the way, my name is Tom Riddle."

Tom Riddle. The reason Evelyn was here.
