Ok so to get things straight. I should have done a tad bit more research than what I did. 1942 starts fifth year, and I had it in 1943. 1943 is supposed to be when sixth year starts. So I changed the first chapters title to the right year. Fifth year ends in 1943. I hope that fixes everything, if not.... please help me :D Thanks!
Hello, my name is Evelyn Granger. Almost one year ago I had made the decision to go back in time to prevent Voldemort from rising to power. Before that happened, I was an outcast, in the the shadows of my twin sister Hermione. I was a muggleborn Hufflepuff, and hardly had any friends except for Hannah Abbott and Ernie MacMillan. I made the decision to come here in then last, and I feel loved. I am now Evelyn Montmorency, posing as a Slytherin Pureblood. I am living with two wonderful people who see me as their own child. Amelia and Liam Montmorency.
They are so kind, and giving. After spending as little as a month with them, I cannot see me anywhere else. My fifth year turned out unexpected. I made friends with Tom Riddle, Avery, and Lestrange. We call Lestrange 'Les', thanks to Avery. But to make my life even more hectic, I might actually have feelings for Tom Riddle. I shouldn't though. He's going to kill so many innocent and non innocent people. But maybe if I listen to my feelings I can prevent it.
So far, my mission has been a failure. Not only did I not prevent the murder of Myrtle Elizabeth Warren, I was part of the reason she died. Many people say it wasn't my fault, but it was. I was supposed to stop Tom from releasing the monster. And then Hagrid was expelled. But Amelia and Liam understand what I'm feeling and they help me. I thank them for it. And I thank them for giving me this diary that I am now writing in. Until I write again- Evelyn Granger Montmorency.
"Evelyn, sweetheart, come down for Breakfast."
Evelyn closed her new diary and set it in her nightstand drawer, and proceeded downstairs where Amelia and Liam were sitting at the table. The house elf Millie was preparing breakfast. Evelyn had been writing everything about what's happened ever since she talked with Dumbledore before coming to the past. It helps calm her nerves down when she writes.
"Good morning Eve." Liam said reading the Daily Prophet.
"Good morning." Evelyn said taking a seat next to Amelia.
"Did you sleep well last night dear?" Amelia asked.
"Yes, better than usual." Evelyn admitted. For the past month, she had been having nightmares. Not every night thankfully.
"That's good. Thank you Millie." Amelia said as Millie set their breakfast in front of them.
"Tis a pleasure Mistress Montmorency. And young mistress Evelyn, Millie made your eggs the way you prefer them." Millie said facing Evelyn.
"Thank you Millie, you're so kind." Evelyn answered. Millie blushed.
"Millie thanks young mistress Evelyn for the compliment. Millie must return to cleaning." Millie said wandering off.
Evelyn quietly ate her breakfast, and thought about how in a month, it would be September. She couldn't wait to go back to Hogwarts. She was even excited to see her friends Avery, Les, and Tom. They actually accepted her unlike her other life when she had no friends. The only other person she really talked to besides Hannah and Ernie, was Neville Longbottom. He was kind to her. Evelyn giggled when she remembered that Hannah had a crush on Neville.
"Why are you smiling?" Amelia asked with a smile of her own.
"I remembered something." Evelyn said. Amelia nodded fondly. Evelyn was glad she had someone to confide in. Amelia and her spent long nights with Evelyn telling of her time in the future. And if Evelyn ever needed to talk to Evelyn, Evelyn was aloud to write to them using the family owl Harrison. He was a fairly young owl, not to old like other owls Evelyn saw.
