The first day of school had been beyond exhausting. Finally, Taehyung pulled into the driveway at home. When he walked in the door multiple boxes were stacked around the doorway. The maid, Ms. Song was waiting with them. "Mr. Kim," she greeted the boy, "your father told me to pack your clothing and belongings and have them ready for when you get home."

"Damn he's really serious about this." Taehyung murmured, looking over all the boxes.

Ms. Song nodded her head, "it would seem you really pissed him off this time sir."

Taehyung laughed to himself. "Yeah, I did."

The old woman smiled kindly. "If you still need my assistance in your new home. Don't hesitate to call. I'll clean for no charge."

The boy's expression softened, he'd never realized how loyal and polite the people in his life were. "Really?" He asked slowly.

"Of course sir! If it weren't for your family, my daughter would never have been able to afford to go to her dream university. Your mother used her connection to the dean to get my daughter a scholarship... if it weren't for her, no one would ever have realized her amazing gift as a musician." The old maid wiped her wet eyes. "If you ever need me, just call, Mr. Kim."

Taehyung smiled, reaching out to hold Ms. Song's hands. "Thank you so much! And please, just call me Taehyung."

He began picking up boxes when Ms. Song added, "by the way, your mother told me to give you this. She must really love you to stick her neck out like this for you." The maid handed him an envelope. Inside was a new address. It was to his apartment. Apparently mother hadn't liked the one her husband had chosen for him. Bless.

The granny smiled and proceeded to help him move boxes to his car, even after Taehyung had told her he could do it himself. She stood in the driveway waving until the boy had completely driven off.

After a long enough drive he reached his new home (for the time being). Parking his gross new car, Taehyung looked up at the apartment building. "Oh my god, thank you mom." He murmured. It was an apartment building with a penthouse on the top floor. No doubt in his mind that his dad had chosen a disgusting apartment. However his mother had chosen a lovely penthouse in the city. With newfound excitement, Taehyung began unpacking the car.

Once she got home Jiwoo flipped on the lights. The house was cold as usual. She was forced to turn off the heating when she was at school to save money. When she walked into the kitchen the fridge was empty. "Dammit, did I forget to buy groceries this week?"

"When do your parents come back from that work thing?" Somin had asked.

Jiwoo let out a sad chuckle as she closed the fridge. "At this rate, probably never."

Throughout the day her mind couldn't stop bouncing back to the new guy at school. He didn't seem.... right. Everything about him seemed out of place. But that intrigued her enough to not completely ice him out. She decided to give him a chance. See if she wanted to keep him around or not. Then again, there's no guarantee he would want anything to do with her.

Sighing Jiwoo tied up her hair and sauntered into her bedroom. She scooped up her bass guitar and headed back to the door. Next she had a performance in the park with Somin. She sat in the same seat on the public bus she rode just about everywhere. Passengers stared as they walked by the glamoured girl with her big stringed bass. But Jiwoo was used to stares. So she stayed quiet as people came and went. Then it was finally her bus stop, and she was free of the tinfoil box on wheels.

Somin was waiting for her at the bus stop when she got off. "Jiwoo!" She called her friend, gaining her attention. The pastel haired girl smiled as she trotted over to her friend. "We have have rehearsal in a few, let's get a move on okay?" Somin was the lead singer of a small indie band in town. Everyone worshiped her for her angelic vocals. Jiwoo usually played the bass and did backup vocals, after all it was daunting to share a stage with such a loved singer. But the two had never exactly completed the band. It was technically just the two of them with random drummers and guitar players coming and going. But the two girls were always on the stage together.

"Have you met the newbies for today?" Jiwoo asked excitedly as they skipped through the park.

Somin shook her head, "I haven't. But I heard they're good. I also heard the parks gonna be pretty packed today. You ready?"

Jiwoo smiled confidently. "Frickin born ready." She replied.

Somin clapped her friend on the back. "At a girl, you show em who's boss."

Jiwoo raised an eyebrow mischievously as she began, "so~ is Matthew coming?"

Somin blushed, "maybe he is... maybe he isn't."

"Ooo~ Somin's gotta boyfriend!" Jiwoo teased, nudging her friend.

Somin laughed, nudging Jiwoo back. "Chill out, I wouldn't take it that far."

Jiwoo rolled her eyes, "I hope he's just as afraid of commitment as you are." She murmured while twirling a loose strand of hair around her finger.
