"Hey buddy," Somin said in her usual bubbly way, when Jiwoo finally got into the car.

Jiwoo rested her head against the neck rest in the back seat and sighed before replying. "Hey So, hey Matthew."

"Sup dude." Matthew replied from the drivers seat in his deep bass like voice.

Somin let out a small gasp, "woah this guy really is loaded..." she murmured as they followed the driveway around the property trying to find an exit.

Jiwoo chuckled, "yeah no joke... his parents are kinda insane though... I guess I get where he gets it from now."

"Crazy... more like crazy ri-"

"Okay babe we get it." Matthew muttered putting a hand over Somin's mouth as he turned onto the private road leading away from the castle-like mansion.

Frowning Somin stuck out her tongue, licking her boyfriends hand. He quickly dropped his hand wiping it on her jeans before taking hold of the steering wheel with both hands again. "Serves you right," Somin shot back raising an eyebrow.

"Bruh, I feel bad for you," Jiwoo murmured eyeing her friends reflection.

Matthew chuckled, "how come?"

Jiwoo jabbed the back of Somin's neck before muttering, "you have to put up with her all the time."

"I swear Jiwoo do you want to fight?" Somin fired back. Jiwoo laughed rolling her eyes. After a short moment of more or less silence Somin continued, "so who's the new guy? What's he like? I want details."

Matthew sighed hitting his forehead on the steering wheel, "I don't want to sit through this." He murmured in defeat.

Somin smiled sweetly as she took ahold of her boyfriends chin, "mmm, too bad!" He sighed, continuing to be a taxi driver for the girls.

"There's nothing much to share. He's just odd. One day he won't use my name to talk to me, the next day he's like 'come live at my penthouse' like who does that!?" Jiwoo complained thinking over her entire existence with Taehyung present.

Somin sighed, "sounds great." At that Matthew tapped the break enough so that the car lurched forward noticeably.

"Oops~" he murmured to himself happily as Jiwoo and Somin shot cold glares his way.

Continuing her rant Jiwoo added, "he's so unpredictable you know!? One minute we get along fine the next he's being an arrogant little bitch."

Somin broke out laughing, "when I hear that I think of a little blonde girl with curly hair in a pink- poofy princess dress."

Jiwoo nodded, adding, "you forgot the giant sparkly crown that says 'Princess Tae'."

"Wow he can be that bad?" Somin asked.

Jiwoo nodded her head while crossing her arms. "Oh yeah. He even told me to stop working at the cafe. Like what the hell?!" She rolled her eyes irritably.

At that remark Somin stopped laughing as she shared a look with Matthew. Then she cautiously began, "well that means he cares about your best interest... I mean everyone knew that considering he's taking our manager to court on your behalf and what not."

Jiwoo furrowed her eyebrows. "He's doing what?"

Somin turned completely around in the passenger seat to make eye contact with her friend. "You don't remember what happened that night? Where did you think those bruises came from?"

Jiwoo shook her head, "What are you even talking about?"

And so Somin was forced to tell her the hardest story either girl had ever lived through. The story where Jiwoo was a victim and her arrogant Princess had saved her from a world of trauma. That he was suing their manager for every cent he had because he knew Jiwoo wouldn't. How he had gotten statements from ever girl ever to be hurt by the manager.

"That's... that's not true..." Jiwoo murmured.

Somin nodded her head, "that's probably why he wanted you at his place today. To have someone he trusts watching you while he's in court with other victims and whatever."

"Oh shit..." Jiwoo murmured as she ran a hand through her hair.

"You really don't remember any of this?" Matthew finally butted back in.

Jiwoo frowned, "I saw bits of this stuff in my dreams... but I thought I had just watched too much tv that day..."

"What did you see?" Somin inquired hesitantly.

Jiwoo messaged her temples as she focused on what she could remember. "My tip jar shattered on the floor... Taehyung rushing in... into the... locker room. That's it..."

Somin nodded her head, "that matches everything that's been on the news."

"Why didn't he tell me then?" Jiwoo asked, her heart racing.

Matthew looked over to Somin, placing a hand on her knee. "Honestly... if that happened to Somin and she was blessed enough to forget it I wouldn't tell her. I'd keep the nightmares to myself and make sure she got justice... but from a safe distance. So I get where this guys coming from."

"Oh..." was all Jiwoo could manage.

Somin smiles apologetically to her friend, "hon it's fine. Don't worry about it. It's over and done with. And hopefully soon your arrogant princess will really be your prince who slayed the dragon."

"I just feel bad... I've been so hard on him." She murmured.

Somin nodded her head, "that's because you're very different. He was born with money and he's comfortable spending it. And Jiwoo I love you, but you're kind of a money hoarder... even with your parents paying for life's necessities you still hoard your money like a mad man. You should have tons of cash from working, yet every time we go to the mall you hardly ever spend a dime."

"Wow I didn't know this was a public roast session..." Jiwoo muttered.

Somin shrugged, "all I'm saying is, you both need to be more open minded. Find middle ground."

Jiwoo rolled her eyes. "He should be taking a page out of my book."

"Oh and why is that?" Somin asked.

Jiwoo chuckled, "cause according to his mom he's been cut off from family money and has to support himself."

"Well then feel even more blessed that he's spending his cash on you." Somin added.

Jiwoo frowned, "hell no. I won't be to blame when he's broke and gets evicted from his place."

Somin chuckled, rolling her eyes. "There you go again..."
