No one had spoken yet, ten minutes into the dinner and it was dead quiet. Just as Jiwoo felt she couldn't be more uncomfortable Taehyung's father slid his eyes across the table to her. Shifting anxiously in her chair, she crossed her arms over her chest defensively.

"Are you cold? You could've said so." Taehyung quickly assured her, taking off his jacket. Smiling, Jiwoo accepted his jacket and wrapped it tightly around her.

"So Tae, how're you holding up?" His mother was eager to ask.

Taehyung shrugged, "it has its up and downs. I've concluded that I hate working in an office all the time, but it keeps the house working so.."

His mother paused, "if you're working when do you do school?"

Taehyung looked to Jiwoo, urging her to take the question. Finding his hand, under the table, she held it lightly. "There's a program for independent students who have to support themselves or their family. I used to be part of it, I mean I still am, but I got Taehyung to go with it to so he does most of his school work at home."

"Home? So you two are living together..." his father murmured skeptically. "So you two are sleeping together as well I assume." He said bluntly.

The two had more or less the same reaction. Jiwoo let the wine she'd just sipped flow back down into the cup, and Taehyung swallowed his quickly and began coughing.

"Honey! They're just kids!" Taehyung's mother intervened quickly, saving them from having to answer that themselves. Smiling warmly she continued, "so when would you like to come home dear?"

Taehyung looked over to Jiwoo, who's eyes were on her plate of salad. She didn't even want a salad but that's what his parents had presented her with, without any consideration. "I don't know... I like living on my own, but keeping up with school and my job is a lot. And just to make it easier Jiwoo won't drop any of her jobs, which makes me a bit stressed too..."

As if she'd forgotten about Taehyung's parents, Jiwoo rested her head on the boy's shoulder, murmuring, "I'm sorry."

Taehyung grinned as he kissed the top of her head, "it's fine, you gave your morals and I don't want to change them."

"We'll cover half of rent from today forward. Taehyung won't work during the day, and your little lady can drop her jobs and focus on school. When you're home she'll tutor you." Taehyung's father practically ordered.

Jiwoo made to reject his offer politely but Taehyung had beat her to the punch. Standing up he extended his hand to his father and they both shook on it.
