"Did this serve as a wake up call?" Ashton muttered as he sat next to Taehyung in the waiting room.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, "wake up call for what?"

Ashton sighed, "oh my god dude! Obviously she should be in your life, you should be in hers, what don't you get about this!?"

"Everything." Taehyung replied cooly.

Ashton slowly dropped his head into his hands, "you're so... so..."

"Ready?"

Both boys looked up immediately, there was a nurse standing above them. "The girl you brought in, you can see her now if you want."

And just like that Taehyung was on his feet. Ashton sighed as he watched his friend scurry to the hospital room. "What a dope." He muttered, shaking his head.

The lights that were on in the hospital room were dimmed making it hard to see, as Taehyung entered. But he could see the little pastel haired girl, with gauze tied around her head. She laid curled up in a ball under the covers (not usual hospital etiquette), but she was asleep. At least Taehyung thought she was, he honestly wasn't quite sure.

So he sat down in the waiting chair beside her bed and closed his eyes.

He woke up to the smell of daisies, again. Something that slowly but surely became a symbol of reassurance for him. Taehyung stretches out his long limbs then turned to face Jiwoo's hospital bed. She was still sleeping, but her back wasn't towards him anymore. Her face was concealed, half by the thick gauze and half by the thin white hospital blanket she'd nestled under. It was like deja vu seeing her like this. But whatever thoughts were sunken deep in his mind, would never reach the light of day, and that he was sure of. Thoughts like Jiwoo was Late Girl, Coffee Girl, and lots of other things, but she was not Taehyung's Girl. That she was a lot of things he didn't know how to be. She was responsible, hard working, independent, and he was not. He was ignorant, helpless and moody.

Then the light caught in her eyelashes as they fluttered open. Her eyes locked on his instantly, but she quickly stretched, closing her eyes, before rubbing her face. "Where am I?" She murmured.

Taehyung chuckled softly as he rested a hand delicately on her injured head. "You're in the hospital." He ruffled her soft hair.

Jiwoo frowned, "why?"

"You don't remember what happened?" Taehyung asked cautiously.

Jiwoo frowned as she scanned her scattered memories of the previous day. But her search came up empty. "No... why are we here."

Taehyung opened his mouth to reply, but stopped. If there was one thing he'd been learning over his time on his own it's that you didn't get anywhere good treating people badly. He pitied himself for not learning this sooner. That money couldn't buy happiness, that lies couldn't guarantee happiness. Yet he was willing to lie to her, so she wouldn't have to live with the memories. He didn't want to know what her boss had done to her. But her partially unbuttoned shirt and bruised neck said volumes. So he smiled, brushing her cheek softly with his thumb before returning his hand to his lap. "You tripped and fell... you hit your head on the counter at the cafe."

Jiwoo frowned, "I did?" Her voice sounded funny, and it was probably from all of the medications. Yet Taehyung was hoping his fictional incident would stick with her, that way she could sleep at night.

Taehyung smiled, "go back to sleep."

Jiwoo turned onto her back and smiled at the ceiling, "okay." She chirped as she rolled back onto her side and closed her eyes. After a few moments of careful watch, Taehyung left the room.

Ashton was still in the hall talking to Jiwoo's nurse. Taehyung sat down next to him, his hands clasped. He inhaled then turned to Ashton. "We're filing a lawsuit."
