"Good morning Mr. VP." Jiwoo said excitedly as she walked into the kitchen, and pecked Taehyung on the lips. "Are you ready for the first day on promotion?"

Smiling down at her, Taehyung pulled her in close and looked deeply into her eyes. "So ready. Are you ready for dinner tonight?"

Jiwoo couldn't help her grin as she murmured, "of course. I'm always the more prepared one. Are you ready!?"

"You just asked me that." Taehyung joked.

Jiwoo shook her head, "no I asked if you were ready for work." She looked at his crooked tie and frowned. "I'm going to take this, as a no..." she murmured as she went to work fixing her mans tie.

He watched her contently as his mind wandered to their wonderful evening tonight. He could already see Jiwoo's smile, her laugh, her body in a beautiful dress. He was always a daydreamer, but never this vividly. Tonight was the three year anniversary of their relationship. Their second year anniversary of being done with high school. Jokers ninth half birthday, and a million other things. As Jiwoo continued fumbling with his tie, Taehyung's eyes wandered over the kitchen. Brown boxes sat on every surface, most of their things were stored away and ready to go. This promotion meant the world to them. If he kept it their new house would be theirs indefinitely. He could just see her there. Sleeping in the big master bedroom, reading by the pool, swaying in a hammock on their balcony watching the sunset. He could see them. Taehyung could see their future. It was so clear and so close.

"I'll see you later." Jiwoo said finally, as she tucked in his tie and buttoned up his jacket.

Taehyung leaned down to kiss her one more time. He never wanted to skip work so badly, but he had to. Just for today at least. "I'll be back soon."

"Yeah yeah!" Jiwoo muttered as she rushed him to the door. "Go! It'll look bad if you're late!" She pushed him through the doorway as Taehyung walked the two feet to the elevator.

"I love you!" He called as he stepped in.

The doors were closing as Jiwoo blew him a kiss saying, "I love you too."

"Wow so you guys still aren't like- married. I totally figured you would've tied the knot by now." Somin murmured as she laid back comfortably in the salon chair.

Jiwoo shrugged, trying not to mess up the woman painting her nails. "We're taking our time. We don't need to rush. Right now he's just focused on the new house and work."

Somin sighed, "we sound so old."

Jiwoo chuckled, "I'm only 20."

Somin nodded slowly, "what about university?"

Closing her eyes for a moment Jiwoo managed to reply, "it's not really on my mind. I just want to travel with Taehyung. Sing in the band with you. Walk in the park and not be stressed, you know?" Opening her eyes she finished, "plus I don't even see myself working a job like Taehyung. I wanna do something less demanding and formal."

Somin shook her head, "of course you do. Why can't you just be normal."

Jiwoo chuckled to herself, "what about my life has been normal since I met Taehyung."

"Must be nice having a rich sugar daddy..." Somin muttered beneath her breath.

Jiwoo couldn't help her abrupt laugh as she quickly recovered saying, "I heard that!"

She was sitting in the lounge, in a shimmering champagne colored dress cutting above her knee. There was a small cut on the dress over her stomach which was covered by white mesh. Her shoes glimmered in the low lighting as she sat waiting for Taehyung.

A jazz band played softly in the background as she checked the time. As her eyes fell from the clock high up on the wall they fell on Taehyung walking toward her briskly. "Sorry I'm late, sweetheart." He leaned down to kiss her softly.

"It's okay, just a few minutes never hurt." Jiwoo replied with a warm smile.

After casual conversation and some food, Jiwoo couldn't help but notice how Taehyung kept getting progressively quieter. "Is something wrong?" She finally managed to ask.

Taehyung paused, unbuttoning his jacket and loosening his tie some. "No not at all..." he looked around cautiously before murmuring something to himself. Clearing his throat he began, "Jeon Jiwoo... I've known you- no I've loved you for three solid years. I've done my share you protect you and you have done the same for me. We've made a life on our own when we had a rich mans idea of nothing. You turned my outlook on life completely upside down. If it weren't for you... I wouldn't be like this. I wouldn't be me. I wouldn't have you, I wouldn't have a house to call my own, I wouldn't have a crazy cat I love so much. I wouldn't know what it really felt like to love and be loved. I'd be married to some heiress watching my life run past me. I'd have children who couldn't care about anything more than getting money out of me. I'd be a damn miserable man... I guess what I'm trying to say is... I can't do this without you." He reached for his jacket pocket and stood up from the table. Inching closer to her, Taehyung finally stopped and got down on one knee.

"Jeon Jiwoo. Will you marry me?"

"A million times, yes."
