dear seokjin,

 a soulmate. 

what is a soulmate?

someone you were destined to be with because some god decided it?

everyone knows that finding your soulmate was difficult and unlikely I came to understand that conclusion a long time ago 

before i met you seokjin but everyday i started falling for you thinking i was lucky to have found my soulmate 

i was lucky to find you seokjin but then you left and i once again lost faith in finding this thing called a soulmate 

hoseok always told me he knew he had found his soulmate and i simply laughed telling him to stop fooling around but he was set on this person

one day i asked who this person was since he had rambled about a small loving person i was curious who this person was because he made him feel the way you use to make me feel

i never got an answer seokjin and to this day I wonder who was the lucky guy that captured his heart and if he truly was his soulmate 

because if he had found his soulmate i would have hope maybe we weren't meant to be but at least i would have faith.

author p.o.v

to yoongi today was another sad day he had a good time with seokjin but he knew that this wouldn't change a thing he and seokjin wouldn't be together

seokjin simply didn't love him anymore 

yet yoongi loved him with all his heart

the flaming love he felt for the man who hurt him blinded him being completely and utterly oblivious to a boy who had been loving him for years even before yoongi dated seokjin

hoseok had loved him from the beginning heck the only reason why hoseok ever approached yoongi was because he had the biggest crush on him

though yoongi never payed him any attention in the way he so dearly desired so when hoseok introduced him to seokjin and saw the way his soulmate looked at seokjin his heart broke into a million pieces but he smiled because if yoongi was happy he was happy

hoseok had to witness yoongi falling in love with another man and always smile mocking him even though whenever he talked about yoongi dating Kim seokjin the knife in his heart twisted more and more

hoseok remembers the day yoongi walked to his house all giddily showing his gummy smile hoseok was in awe completely taken back but he loved it

yoongi laughed and hoseok dared to ask wha was the reason and yoongi's eyes sparkled sighing he laid in bed just like those girls in dramas did when they spoke about their crushes

"hoseok i must sound so childish but yesterday was the best day of my life so far."

hoseok's idea of best day of his life wasn't the day he had the courage to talk to the small quiet kid, min yoongi.

hoseok smiled, "yeah? what happened what's making your beautiful gummy smile show today who should i thank?"

yoongi turned a bright red mumbling, "its not beautiful hoseok-ah"

hoseok rolled his eyes he thought that his gummy smile was the most beautiful smile ever 

"yoongi spill it who's making you so smiley let me guess seokjin hyung kissed you"

that knife twisted in his heart again but his mind gave him hope telling him the chances of that we're unlikely since seokjin was shy and kinda knew about his feelings

"yes hoseok he kissed me and although i acted as if it was nothing it was the world to me his lips were so soft and he was so tender he held me as if i was fragile and would break if he held me too tight yet if he didn't my legs would have given up and i would have fallen right to my knees."

hoseok smiled but his heart was shattered into a million pieces he had lost his soulmate even if he never would admit defeat not until yoongi was married to another man

"yoongi im so happy for you you guys are the perfect match"

yoongi's eye lit up, "just like you and your soulmate?"

another stab to hoseok's heart he should be use to it by now

"yeah just like me and my soulmate."

yoongi left and hoseok laid in his bed crying regretting the day he introduced them to each other  even if it was selfish because maybe just maybe if he would have had more time yoongi would have been his.

hoseok stood up and washed his face grabbing a jacket and walked to seokjin' house 

he would tell him how to treat yoongi because now yoongi was inevitably in love with seokjin and it was time for hoseok to admit defeat

that was till seokjin left yoongi broken where hoseok waited patiently in the dark and picked up yoongi's broken pieces putting it back together with goals in mind

make yoongi happy

make yoongi forget that bastard who hurt him 

hope to make yoongi realize that his soulmate was never seokjin but his best friend, who was always there waiting because his love burned for yoongi and everyday was torture but what kept him going was yoongi's smile

and when seokjin took that away he left hoseok with anger but he made a promise he would be the one to return that smile.

hoseok wasn't amused when he heard seokjin was back especially when he believed he was making improvement with the love of his life but he knew yoongi despised the eldest even if he loved him but hoseok decided to ignore that part

so when he saw yoongi run after seokjin that night and kissed him bringing him back to his room he was left in shock and with hatred

surely seokjin he was yoongi's kryptonite as well for any chance of his and yoongi's relationship 

but he couldn't let seokjin win not again he wouldn't let seokjin win that easily just to hurt him

the only reason why he ever backed away was because he believed seokjin would bring yoongi happiness now that he was sure that seokjin was toxic there was no chance he would let him back in 

that's why he hid seokjin's letter he couldn't let yoongi continue hurting 

"yoongi my love I'm here and i promise ill never hurt you"

So this is just a filler I really just wanted to update something I've been busy with school it's suffocating but I love writing and I'm glad I have this book as a distraction
