Evelyn Morell.

The once so normal name flooded his mind like water. No way had he forgotten her, it was just shocking to see her again.... After six years?

Levi shook his thoughts away turning to Jack who was watching the girl too, "Uh no nothing.. Wait- Did you ask me something?"

His eyes strayed back to Evelyn who handed a glass of water to a tall handsome guy and her father who was busy building something. Levi looked away, "I'm going inside now... See you around Jack." He placed a firm hand on Jack's shoulder, gave him a smile and made his way inside.

Jack raised an eyebrow in confusion staring after Levi, then once again returned his eyes to the girl who was laughing with the guy probably telling her a funny joke or something. Jack creased his forehead in concentration, he shrugged and went inside.

Levi standing behind the door when Jack walked by, furtively and quickly made his way back outside to finish off his investigation. He really wanted to see Evelyn after so long.

He walked towards the gate trying hard not to arouse suspicion or annoying people to bother him. He let his eyes stray to Evelyn. What in the world was she even doing here? Levi thought to himself. So many memories of them since they were small blocked any noise possible and he let them take over.

Just then he felt something hit his head, he shook himself from the past and turned around to see the basketball dribbling towards the guys playing basketbal.

"Hey dreamboy.. Really sorry about that." A gangly tall guy said, grabbing the ball and dribbled it, "Wanna play?"

"Thanks Bro... But I- maybe later." He was busy now looking at Evelyn.

"Sure. Later when?" The guy went on to be nosy, approaching Levi.

"Later." Levi repeated moving closer to the gate, furtively looking towards the other side of the gate.

"Looking at those people?" The guy asked noticing Levi's wanting to be left alone but yet continued bothering.

Levi rolled his eyes mentally. Couldn't he have some privacy here? "No" He lied.

"I heard they are new."

"Peter?!" The other guys playing called impatiently.

"Sorry." Peter ran away, basketball in hand towards the guys.

Thank you. Levi thought as he stood closer now to get a better view. It was Evelyn alright. Levi just stared, the unforgettable memory flickered in his mind. It was more than alive in his mind.

"Evelyn, do you mind looking for a hammer in the car?" Mr. Morell called from the ground as he tried screwing a nail into the wood. Danny helping him.

"Where is it?"

"It should be on the floor somewhere in the front...."

Evelyn turned around and made her way towards the car. She opened the door and looked around until she spotted the hammer. It was underneath a huge bag of nails. She bent down, reached out and pulled it out. She shut the door to the car and the noise of guys screaming and the echoing of dribbling caught her attention. She looked up and her eyes stopped to see a guy staring right at her. Evelyn lowered her eyes uncomfortably and made her way back towards her father and uncle. As she walked she looked over her shoulder and saw the same guy watching her.

Levi felt the back of his neck nervously noticing Evelyn was looking at him too.

Do something. His inner voice told him. Levi found himself waving. He watched her look away and the tall guy with her asked her something. Levi feeling stupid turned away and reprimanded himself for not thinking twice. She probably thought he was some idiot.

"Did he just wave?" Danny asked with a smile.

"Yeah.." Evelyn avoided Danny's laughing eyes. She felt her cheeks heat up.

"Who?" Mr. Morell suddenly asked not looking up from his hammering. "Those guys? Evelyn, please go inside." He said in that overprotective father's voice, Evelyn feared.

Evelyn swallowed back embarrassment, feeling a little offended but she dared not speak up and cause a fire. One last glance at her uncle and she went inside. She took in a deep breath as soon as she stepped into the house, let it out and closed her eyes. The image of the guy who had waved to her was replaced by Danny's handsome green eyes. She felt so lucky to have an uncle close in age and who never failed to impress her.

Levi licked his lips as he saw the door close behind Evelyn. A few questions bothered him.

Was she the real Evelyn? Or had he mistaken her for someone else? Did she even remember him? The kiss? Anything?
