Final part of the five years old section!

It didn't take long for team Gibbs to find some leads based on the attack from the airport. Tony and Ziva were on a flight with about half a dozen other agents to find the children.

The list of possible hiding places big enough for the amount of missing children and within driving distance of the airport had been narrowed down to two.

With the county police leading the way, it was all hands on deck when they arrived at the first place. Judging by the parked vans that matched the stolen vehicles, they'd made a good guess between the two locations.

They stood around, ready to barge in and rescue the children, when they heard a gunshot ring out.

Tali's POV

The mission was a success. Our trainers are pleased... But I didn't know it was a bomb! I never would've done it!

Since our mission was good, I guess they trust us now. They let me use an actual gun with real bullets! Their mistake...

They handed me the gun. I tried a bunch of times to shoot the target, but it scared me. I kept dropping it, or screaming.

The meanest man of them all was in charge of me today. And he kept hurting me every time I messed up. He would hit me and push me and yell at me. All I wanted to do was cry.

There was one moment when he hit me really hard. I fell down, and he kicked me. I cried and cried but he didn't stop.

Then, suddenly, I heard a loud gunshot, and he fell down. I covered my ears. Everyone seemed to be frozen. We all stared at the person who shot him...

"Mike, what did you do!?" Landon yelled. Landon and Mike were best friends.

Trainers started yelling and pointing guns at all three of us. They made like step away from us and drop his gun.

"Stop it!" I yelled. "Leave him alone! It's not his fault!"

A man came over to me and hit me for talking. I screamed as he dragged me and landon away. We both yelled and tried to get back to mike. Who knew what they were gonna do???

They put us back in our areas, but we hadn't been there long when we heard a lot of noises.

I lay on my side, staring at the thin wall, when my curtain moved. I glanced over and saw a new man. A stranger.

Narrator's POV

The policeman rushed to Tali. "Hi there, I'm Devon. I'm a policeman. I'm going to help you. What's your name?"

"Tali... Tali DiNozzo," Tali said sheepishly.

The man's face melted in realization. He looked at a picture from his pocket of Tali that he was given. She looked so different from malnutrition and probably a lot of other deficiencies.

He stepped into the hallway. "She's over here!"

He then took out a roll of bandages and began nursing Tali's wounds. Tali pushed his hands away.

"Wait. Where is mike?? He shot the bad man. They took us away from him. They're gonna hurt him!"

"Don't worry, they can't do anything now. Mike is just fine. We saved him."

Tali didn't get to respond. Tony and Ziva came running over. Tali's eyes widened and she gasped.

"Ima! Abba!" She shrieked. They were hugging her within milliseconds. Hugs and kisses were flying everywhere.

Once all the hugging was over, Ziva frantically searched for major wounds. "Are you okay baby girl?"

Tali nodded, "I'm okay, ima. I'm okay."

With another kiss on Tali's cheek, Tony lifted her into his arms. He took her out of her sectioned area.

Policemen and agents all over were helping the scared children. Tali caught sight of Mike and waved over her dad's shoulder. He waved back.

She saw that his face was bruised. They must've hit him after they took her away. People were helping him now, though. And that was good... really good.

When they got back home, they had a lot to catch up on. Tali was in the hospital for a couple weeks because of her malnutrition. But once she was relatively normal, they got her back home with some extra vitamins to take.

Mike and landon lived just across the street, so they still talked even after the rescuing. A lot of the kids in the neighborhood still talked.

But not everyone... four of the eleven children from the neighborhood weren't "strong enough" and were murdered by the abductors. Of course, the parents were devastated and bitter... why were their kids killed but not everyone elses? How was that fair?

So many questions unanswered...

But for the DiNozzo's, they grew closer together because of this. They had so much to catch up on, they couldn't miss a moment. And all would be well...
