<just so my previous readers know, I am going back in time. Ziva is still in Israel currently>

---Ziva's POV---

When I brought Tali home that first day, it seemed like a dream. Being a mother wasn't necessarily something that I'd always dreamed of, but it had always been in the back of my mind.

If I were to be a mother, I wouldn't choose anyone but my love, Anthony DiNozzo, to be the father. As odd as it sounded, even to my own ears, he and I were perfect together.

Now, I'm not so sure. Should I tell him that he has a daughter? How could I? I haven't seen him in... well, nine months, to be exact.

I won't tell him for now. He's already moved on, I'm sure...

Anyway, back to Tali. The beautiful little girl was born July 28th. It was perfectly in the middle of summer.

The day I took her home, it felt like a dream. But that only lasted a little while. By the end of the first week of having her home, I was ready to give her back!

'I'm not designed to be a mother, I guess. I'll have to make myself improve', I thought.

By the time Tali was three months old, I was a bit better. Every morning and night, I showed her a picture of Tony with me. I'd show her who her father was. Even though I was sure she didn't understand, I knew she would one day.

When Tali was six months old, I began to do more jobs and leave her home with a babysitter. I was fine on money up until that time, to be honest.

Every day it was a struggle of whether to call Tony or not. And every day I stood against it.

Coming up to Tali's first birthday, the emotions were high, and I was really beginning to regret not calling Tony from the start. It was too late now...

I figured that I'd just have to get through raising her without him...

And so life continued.....

Thanks for reading! I know this is a short chapter, but they will be increasing in length as Tali grows older.

As they get longer, they will also take more time to write, so please have patience. :)
