***Ziva's POV***
By the time I finished reading my book, Tony had already gone to bed. I checked the clock. It was only 9:30. But, it was a long day at work... I can see why he's exhausted.
As I made my way upstairs, I heard noises coming from Tali's room. It sounded like she was whimpering and crying. So I gently pressed her door open.
It was evident by Tali's facial expression that her sleep was restless... my heart throbbed just watching her squirm. I sat at the edge of her bed and gently wiped her head, which was damp from sweat.
"Tali.. Tali, baby. It's okay. Ima's here," I cooed.
Tali woke with a gasp. She met eyes with me for a moment and started to cry. I slipped a hand under her back and pulled her against me. My gentle hands running up and down her back soothed her mind eventually.
For a few minutes, we just sat. She shivered and sniffled. "Ima," she cried.
"What is it, Tali?" I lifted her chin to see her face.
"Why did those bad guys take me? Why did they hurt me? I don't... I don't understand."
I groaned sympathetically as I pulled her close once again. "I don't know... I don't know why they wanted you... but they can't hurt you anymore. They don't get that chance. Ima and abba will protect you, okay?"
Tali nodded. Eventually, she lay back down. I kissed her forehead and started to leave. "Try to get some sleep... I love you, tali."
"I love you too, ima."

I'm sorry this part is so short. I just had to get something out there. I cannot seem to get past this funk of writers block XD
