Christmas day upload.

My eyes are still lit up an luminous white, as we all walk through the dark corridors. I'm pretty sure my eyes are like a beacon just waiting to be found by God knows who, i smile at the thought of being rescued but then i realise, it's every for themselves in this day and age. I glance at the people with me. I needed to help them, even if they didn't deserve it. The little girl caught my ghost eyes on her and just waved, she didn't seem scared but that's probably because she has a power off her own.

Silently, i moved down the corridor. I didn't want to draw attention to us more than we probably had. When the power went out i knew that the guards would be checking the cages, only to see we are gone and work out one of us could manipulate energy and i did not want them to know it was me. I stopped suddenly causing the others to halt in whatever position they were. I saw the man who helped us on one foot and i almost laughed. I signalled with my eyes for him to take a look and see if there were any guards, when he mouthed there were i knew i'd have to use this power more and was glad i was still tapping into it.

The white vein on my arms lit up a little more causing a vibrating sensation to run through my whole body, my lips parted a little as i allowed it to do it's work. When the vein made it's way to my fingertips, the pain became more visible. I had to hold screams in as the vein carved it's way into my bones. My whole body was lit in a neon white, visible from miles away, as i stepped into the corridor I gained their attention, i finally did what my body was begging for me to do. Scream.

My shriek echoed the walls, as energy bolts consumed around me swirling and reflecting off of me in random directions. My shriek went on for a little while before i collapsed to the floor. I managed to catch myself, the white veins slowly disappearing and my normal blue eyes shining through the white.

The boy who looks like his little sister came to help me up, i smile at him as we pass the people who had fallen to the floor. I didn't dare look at their bodies as we walked to the exit now following the family. I had the strange feeling we were being watched, i looked over my shoulder but shrugged it off when i didn't see anybody there. I smile, the brother and sister look so happy to finally be free. I just wonder why they didn't have the urge to use their powers like me. They seem to have been locked up longer than me.

When stepping into the cold air i couldn't help but throw my hands up and welcome the cold, it felt refreshing, i felt alive again. I closed my eyes enjoying that the cold was causing me to have goosebumps and smiled when i knew i'd never give this up again. Not without a fight. Reluctantly, i open my eyes to see them all staring at me like i was an alien, i took a step back from them in discomfort. How can they not be happy about this? We won! We got out, why aren't they celebrating the cold too? I guess they don't like the cold. When i looked around, i noticed that the lights weren't on and i knew it was my fault. I frowned and hoped that even in that state of mind, i didn't take all the power and left some. For the hospital even if they did hate us.

"Thank you," I whispered to the family. "You got locked up for helping us. I hope it doesn't happen again. For your little girl."

He smiled at me but took my hand in his, he looked at the other two and said, "You guys are coming with us, we have a safe place for you. We can help you even more."

Without registering what he had just said we all took of running. He still had hold of my hand, scared i was going to run away or something, i do not know. I looked over my shoulder again at the thought of being watched or even followed. I frowned when i did not see anyone, i was expecting someone, anybody there. Just to see us. Witness us get our freedom back.

We all take off running as if we can not be stopped so quickly, we ducked down dark alleyways just in case when i took the power out, it made the patrols roam the street. Sighing silently, i did not like putting my faith in other people, i actually hated that i do it so willingly. These people could kill me if they wanted too. Sure i'd put up a fight but i do not exactly know how to fight. Hell i got lucky taking that guard out, the only thing weighing in my favour, is my gifts. Making eye contact with the little kid didn't help as i was thinking these things. I'd hate if i ever ran into somebody who knew exactly what i was thinking before i had time to act on those feelings. I smiled sheepishly, trying to convince her nothing was wrong. Kids were easily convinced, right?

We turned down a corner. The family ushering us down. I shuddered at the darkness, only lit up by the moonlight shining down on us. The shiver enters my spine as i look everywhere seeing that face. My lips part in a gasp but i make no sound, i can not even take a step forward. My hands voluntarily go up to my face covering my face. I take a deep breath before removing them. Only for that face to be right in front of me.
