"Yeah I'm back... to save you from his ass" The boy said, and Hailey shook her head.
"Nope... nope..." Hailey said, and the boy sighed.
"I've changed Hailey! I can show you tonight! Trust me I've changed... clearly Michael hasn't..." he said, and Hailey took in a deep breath.
"S-shut up..." She stuttered out, and the boy sighed.
"Too far...?" He asked, and the girl nodded at him.
"Wait.... where'd he go?" Chance asked, looking around the hotel room the next morning.
"Uh..." Drew said, not knowing what went on last night. He was way too hungover to care anyways.
"Yeah, he's bailed out of prison. But what the hell, where is he?!?" Brady looked around frantically, and only saw Michael on the ground.
"Is he dead?" Brady asked, and Sergio rolled his eyes.
"You're idiots, he's not dead! He's just pasted out from being drunk off his ass!" Sergio said, groaning in annoyance.
Michael groaned as he started to wake up. He looked around and noticed he was on the floor.
"What happened last night?" Michael asked, sitting up. "Shit my head is KILLING me" he groaned as he grabbed his head.
"You made out with a girl" Brady said, and Michael shot his head up to look at him.
"You're lying, I would never! I love Hailey with my whole he-" Michael stopped once Chance started to giggle.
"Ohhh just wait..." Brady said to him, walking over to the older boy.
Brady showed him a picture of him and a girl kissing. Following that, he showed a video of them making out. Michael's eyes started to water, and he felt around in his pocket for his phone.
"I-I need to call Hailey! I-I love her s-she can't think I cheated!" Michael said, getting onto his feet and searching for his phone. He picked up his phone from the floor on the far side of the room. Once he picked it up, he saw that it was cracked.
"Whoops..." Brady said with a shrug. Michael flipped him off, and called his wife. After three rings, she answered.
"Hi..." she said, barely above a whisper. It was like she didn't want him to hear her, but it made sense.
"I-I have to explain" Michael said, a few tears falling from his eyes.
"Damn right you do! Now tell me... you said you don't like clubbing?!!" Hailey said, starting to get a bit aggravated.
"I-I don't..." Michael said, wiping his tears away.
"Then why'd you go? You know it's a place to get drunk and party!" Hailey pointed out, anger boiling up inside of her as time went on.
"Hailey I kn-" Michael was cut off by Hailey on the other line.
"You have a WIFE and a BABY! What the hell do you think you're doing?!?" Hailey asked out, her voice starting to crack.
"You're saying I can't have fun because I'm married and have a kid?!? That's some bullshit Hailey" Michael said, starting to get a bad vibe from this conversation.
"I didn't say you couldn't have fun, Conor" Hailey said, becoming serious now.
"That's what it seems like..." Michael said, and the girl on the other line groaned.
"You can have fun Michael.. I-I just want you to be careful.." Hailey said, making Michael sniffle.
"Hailey... I love you, okay? And I love Skylar, a lot..." Michael said, and Hailey started to get worried.
"D-don't say what I think you-" only for Hailey to be cut off this time.
"I probably am babe..." Michael said with a sigh. "Maybe we should just take a break from one another. I'll be on tour, you'll be with the baby. Everything will be fine" he said, running his fingers through his hair.
Hailey started to cry on the other line hearing him say that. Never mind the fact he never explained what happened. Did he mean for what went down last night to happen?
"A-are yo-you saying that y-you meant for what happened last n-n-night to happen?!?" Hailey asked out as tears streamed down her face. Michael sighed, and rubbed his forehead annoyed.
"No! I don't even know what happened last night Hailey..." Michael said softly. "But I think this separation will help us..." he said, and Hailey scoffed.
"You think it will... you think! Also guess whose back? Jay's back!" Hailey said, and the boy giggled at the doorway.
"Yeah okay Hailey. You just want to start more problems. But anyways I lost my ring last night..." Michael admitted, and Hailey gasped.
"You lOST YOUR RING?!? MICHAEL I-" Hailey started to freak out, only for Michael to calm her down.
"Oh wait... Drew has it! We're all good babe! But let me explain..." Michael said and Hailey just sighed.
"I don't want an explanation anymore Michael..." Hailey said, and Michael groaned.
"I'm gIVING YOU ONE ANYWAYS BECAUSE I'M YOUR HUSBAND AND I NEED TO BE TRUTHFUL!" Michael yelled, making Hailey move the phone away from her ear.
"O-okay..." Hailey said, eyeing Jay in the doorway who was smiling softly.
"Listen... I told them I didn't want to go clubbing but they forced me. They took my phone and threw it-and now it's cracked. Regardless, I got wasted cause they told me to "let lose" and I didn't know what was going on... I told them I was married, but that girl..." Michael said and Hailey sighed.
"Yeah.." Hailey said, her heart racing. It hurt her hearing the truth come out of Michael's own mouth.
"She was desperate and when she saw I didn't have a ring on she made me kiss her. And I kissed her and his- UGH! BABE IT WAS THE BEER I PROMISE YOU!" Michael yelled, his voice breaking.
"Okay... I'm gonna uh...go" Hailey said softly, and Michael sighed.
"W-what no "I forgive you"?" Michael asked, and pulled at his hair.
"Bye Conor" Hailey said before hanging up the phone. Jay looked at the girl, and watched as tears fell from her brown eyes.
"Hailey... I-I know we're not in good terms but I just want you to know I-" Jay was shocked by the following action.
Hailey pulled the boy into her, and hugged him close. Jay gasped and hugged the girl tight to him. He let her cry into him, even though he knew he was part of what went down last night.
"I don't care what terms were on Jay... I want you here, please?" Hailey asked, looking into his green eyes. Jay's eyes widen surprised by these actions and words.
"You want m-me to stay? Why?" Jay asked, and Hailey closed the door as she let out a sigh.
"Because... I'm over what happened I guess I doN'T KNOW OKAY??" Hailey yelled at him, but more at herself. Jay sighed, and watched her walk upstairs. Hailey looked at him, and waved for him to come upstairs.
"Can I see Skylar now?" He asked, and Hailey nodded.
"Yeah g-go ahead..." Hailey said, as she walked to the kitchen. She didn't know what was taking over her, but some reason she felt like everything would be okay again with Jay.
Jay walked back, with a smile on his face.
"What's up?" Hailey asked, before she took a sip of her orange juice.
"She's sleeping. I didn't want to wake her. Want to watch a movie?- wait sorry this is your house I shoul-" Hailey giggled softly at the boy.
"I'd love to" Hailey said with a smile. Jail did something good for Jay, that's for sure. Hailey put on a movie, and sat down on the couch.
Jay walked to the love seat, only for Hailey to grab his hand. He looked at her, and she nodded for him to sit next to her. He smiled and sat down, keeping his space though.
During the movie, Hailey started to get tired. She leaned into Jay as the movie played on. She felt his arm wrap around her, and she moved more into him.
"You can sleep" Jay said softly to her. "I'll take care of Sky, okay?" Jay told her, but the girl was already fast asleep on her chest.
Jay smiled, and started to layback. He pulled the girl up slowly, and softly not to wake her up. His plan failed, as he watched her eyes flutter open.
"Hmm" Hailey hummed, and Jay placed his finger over her lips.
"Sleep" Jay said, and she nodded. She laid back onto Jay, and started to close her eyes. Hailey fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat, and the smell of his cologne.
Jay watched as the girl was peacefully asleep on his chest. He ran his fingers through her hair.
"I could treat you so much better Hailey. I wouldn't treat you like shit... I wouldn't make you cry. I'd make sure you were always happy... but, if you ever want to divorce him, I'll take you in" Jay told her softly, not knowing she heard every word he said.
