Michael and Jay stopped as they saw the girl laying on the ground pasted out.
"This is YOUR fault you asshole!!!" Michael yelled and ran towards his wife, or ex wife now.
"HOW IS THIS MY FAULT?!? I'M TRYING TO PROTECT THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE!" Jay yelled, as he ran towards the girl and sat kneeled next to her. "H-Hailey?" The brown haired boy asked the girl.
The girl laid on the floor, little to no movement. She was still breathing, but unresponsive.
"CALL 911 CONOR!" Jay yelled, as he placed his hand onto her forehead. "SHE'S BURNING UP! CALL THEM!" The younger boy yelled at the older one who was trying to find his phone in his pocket.
"SHIT!" Michael yelled, and looked at the younger boy. "DON'T CALL ME CONOR!" He yelled as he ran towards the house, and Skylar was crying. The boy started to panic realizing his life was in chaos. "H-hold on S-Sky" he said as he picked up his phone dialing the three numbers.
Skylar cried louder as Michael didn't quickly come to her previous out burst. Michael hung up the phone, and ran to his little girls room. She was standing up in her bed crying hard. Her face was damp, so he figured she must've been crying for sometime now.
"S-Sky..." he stuttered out, and sat next to her on the bed opening his arms. The little girl laid in his arms, limp feeling. All the crying she must've done, made her body become weak.
"S-s-sTOP FIGHTING WITH MOMMY" Skylar yelled at her dad, as more tears poured out of her eyes. "I-I WANT HAPPY F-F-FAMILY!" She yelled at Michael. The black haired boy's eyes started to become glossy.
He never thought of how this divorce would not only affect Hailey and himself, but his barely two year old daughter. Her eyes were crying a river, and he didn't know how to stop them.
"H-h-hey Sky... want me to u-uh to rap-rap something f-for you?" He stuttered out, and heard the ambulances sirens coming down his street.
"N-NO! I WA-WANT MOMMY A-A-AND JAY!" Skylar yelled, punching Michael's chest lightly. Her little fist didn't much damage, but her words did. Those words stung Michael as hard as if 10,000 bees swarmed around his stinging him at one time.
"I-I-I- that c-can't happen r-right now.... mommy's sick..." Michael said, his own tears now streaming down his cheeks.
"LIAR!" Skylar yelled, and Michael closed his eyes and let out a deep breath.
"I-I'm not lying, Sky. That's not very nice..." Michael said sternly to her.
Skylar's brown eyes met with Michael's. She looked into his eyes too deeply for a child. The brown haired little girl sniffled and hugged her dad close to her as she could. The black haired boy smiled and hugged the girl close to him.
"I w-wuv you daddy" Skylar said softly, and Michael rubbed his hand on her back to soothe her.
"I love you too Sky... so so so much..." he said, tears slipping down his cheeks.
Jay held Hailey's hand in the back of the ambulance. She was still passed out, as they monitored her heart rate.
"Are you Mr. Smith?" The guy asked, who glanced from the heart monitors screen to the brown haired boy. Jay cleared his throat, and looked at the EMT.
"U-uh no I'm not... I'm just uH, her friend... w-why?" Jay asked, as he ran his fingers through his hair nervously.
"Well we kind of need her husband here. We can't have you answer certain medical questions" the guy said, and looked back at the girl who was still passed out.
"I-I-uh I can t-try to call him? But I-I can give minor details of the previous events leading her to passing out?" Jay offered, before letting out a deep breath. The EMT nodded at the boy waiting for his statement.
Jay informed the guy how she just got threaten for a divorce by her husband, and has a baby girl at home. He also added in about how she did end up cheating on her husband with him.
"Oh? So why are you here? Wouldn't you cause more pain to her?" The guy asked, becoming more noisy than wanting information about her heath.
"No!" Jay said sternly. "You don't understand us! I'm always the- why am I telling you this?" Jay scoffed as they arrived at the hospital. Jay let go of the girls hand, as they took the stretcher out of the ambulance and arrived towards the front entrance.
Jay quickly ran behind them, to get the information such as the room number and floor.
Once they arrived, Jay reached for his phone and called Michael. The phone rang about three times until the black haired boy picked up.
"H-hey Michael... she's in room 346 on the 5th floor, okay?" Jay informed the boy, who muttered a few words. "I can come baby sit Sky, if you need? Hospitals are probably not a good place for a two year old..." Jay offered, and the older boy didn't decline.
Jay hung up the phone shortly, and looked at Hailey one last time. She still hasn't woken up, and the younger boy was worried sick. His eyes watered, and he stared to think maybe it was all his fault.
About an hour later, the world started to look not so dark anymore. The darkness, soon turned to a bright white color. Everything was a tad bit blurry, only for a few more blinks to clear up the surroundings.
Hailey looked to her left, and saw the boy she thought least would be by her side.
"H-H-H-Hailey?" Michael stuttered out, his voice cracking. Hailey looked at him, and sighed.
"Yeah...?" She said softly, her voice raspy from being passed out for who knows how long.
"H-h-how are you feeling? Do-do you remember anything?!" Michael asked, his words flowing out his mouth quicker than ever.
"Tired, and yes" she said quickly, trying to end the conversation before it could even start.
Michael looked at his ex wife, and tears slipped from his cheeks. He went to take her hand, only for her to move it away.
"Where's Jay?" She asked, staring at the boring white ceiling of the hospital room.
"Oh, u-I-uh... back h-home with S-Sky..." Michael said, running his hand through his hair. "Why?" He asked, his voice cracking as more tears welled up in his broken, brown eyes.
"I want to see him.." she said, now looking back at her ex husband. Michael shook his head at her.
"N-n-NO!" Michael yelled at her, making her jump back a bit.
"Why nOT?!?" Hailey yelled back at the boy.
"BecauSE I'M YOUR HUSBAND NOT HIM! I SHOULD BE THE ONE WHO YOU WANT TO BE WITH BY YOUR SIDE WHILE YOU PASSED OUT AND HAVE A FEVER! NOT HIM!" Michael yelled at the girl, and Hailey scoffed.
"Husband? Oh really? Because if I remember correctly, you're my EX husband beCAUSE YOU CAN'T FORGIVE OR FORGET ANYTHING WHEN I SCREW UP BUT I'LL FORGIVE YOU FOR EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING!" Hailey yelled, her voice breaking now. Her eyes welled up in tears, and the boy stared at her.
Michael stood up, and walked towards the brown door. He looked one last time at the girl, who was now regaining some color on her face.
"So much for our love, huh?" Michael asked, and the girl looked at him. "It was just a joke" he said before walking out the door and slamming it. Hailey's eyes welled up in tears, and she shook her head.
"W-w-wAS NOT!" Hailey yelled out, her voice shaking as she started to sob hard. The more she cried, the more breath she started to lose. She started to hyperventilate making her heart monitor beep since her heart rate picked up again.
The door opened, and she saw a figure standing at the door. She wanted to speak out, and reached her hand out.
"M-M-MicHAEL!" Hailey yelled, and the next thing she knew when she pasted out... she was not in that same hospital room.
