Chapter 28

(KAYLA POV)

"D'awwww" my three friends said as Noah kissed me. It made me blush as I pulled away.

"So. What do you guys want to do?" I asked changing the subject

"Watch a movie?" Dakari asked

"Sure" I replied

"I PICK" Noah yelled out

"Ok. Pick something good" I said while walking over and grabbing the tv remote for him. Noah then sat on our coy and turned on Netflix while searching for movies. While Amber and Jordan searched through my kitchen for food for the movie.

"Hey" Dakari said while pulling me over to sit on the steps to upstairs.

"What?" I asked as we sat down

"What school did you sign up for?" She asked

"SHIT. I knew I forgot something. Which one are you going to?" I asked her

"Well since Noah said he's moving towards the other side of town to you, I think I'm going to the same one as him. But I'm not sure if Layola Highschool stretches this far out of town. But I'm sure you could enroll and just take the drive everyday" she said optimistically

"Ok. I might just do that. But tomorrow, I don't feel like driving over there right now" I replied

"HEY GIRLLLLS. Movie time!" Noah yelled in a girly voice

"Count me in!" Caleb said while bounding down the stairs and slipping near the end. Jordan and Amber laughed as Caleb landed on his butt on the last step. Noah picked a comedy movie, and Amber and Jordan found popcorn, pretzels, and m&ms. Caleb ran to the kitchen and came back with a stack of cups and two 2 liter bottles of soda. Everyone grabbed a cup and poured their soda and grabbed handfuls of snacks from the girls. Our seating arrangements were Noah and Caleb on the ends of the couch with me, Jordan, Dakari, and Amber squished inbetween. I was by Noah and Jordan was by Caleb leaving Amber and Dakari squished in the middle.

The movie was pretty good. We all laughed at some parts and booed at others. Noah and Caleb cracked jokes throughout all of it and we all had a great time. When the movie was over and the mess we made was picked up, Jordan, Dakari, and Amber said they had to go. Caleb retired back up to his room which left just Noah and I sitting on the couch watching tv.

"I had fun today" I said while leaning my head on Noah's shoulder

"I did too" Noah yawned

"So, what did you do all day, besides here with the movie?" I asked while yawning also

"Not much" Noah said

"Upload any new series for your channel?" I asked curiously

"No. I haven't been uploading much, but I will get back to that tomorrow" he explained

"Are you sure?" I asked

"Yeah. Justin and Taz usually record factions and other videos in the morning, so it would be hard to find someone to record with now" Noah explained again

"Ohhhh" I said

"Yeah" Noah stated simply. There was a quiet pause as we figured out what to talk about.

"I'm tired" I said while yawning again

"Me too" Noah said

"We should probably get up and go to bed" I state while starting to stand up. Noah pulled me back down onto the couch.

"One more minute" Noah asked

"Ok" I said while holding his hand again and leaning my head back on his shoulder. It was quiet as we sat there and stared at the tv.

"I like this" Noah said out of the quiet-ness

"Like what?" I asked while looking up at him

"I like just being able to just relax with you. It feels right" he stated

"I feel the same way" I replied. Time passed and we eventually got up. Noah left to go home and I went to upstairs to bed. I picked up my laptop that was still on the floor and put it on its charger. I then crawled into bed and snuggled under the covers.

"Man, things actually do get better" I thought to myself as my mind got drowsy and I fell asleep.
