Chapter 31

I woke up to my set alarm at 6am. I stretched, sat up, and stared at my door.

"Ughhhh" I groaned while scratching my head. I finally pulled myself out of bed, put in my contacts, and went to the bathroom to do my morning duties. I then threw my contact case, hair and tooth brush in my bag and closed it up. I then look through what's left of my closet and find a blue pair of sweats and laid them on my bed. I then grabbed a white T-shirt and a pair of jean shorts. I pulled the shorts and shirt on and then put the sweats on top for the morning hours. I then went downstairs with my bag and watched some of the news while I waited for everyone to arrive. It was about 6:50 when I saw a car pull up on the curb and went to the door to see who it was. It was Noah showing up early in his Audi.

"You're early" I said while I went over to give him a hug.

"Better than late" he stated while returning my hug.

"Yeah, well everyone else while probably be here soon. Do you want to wait for them inside?" I asked

"Yeah sure" he replied while holding my hand as we walked to sit inside. He sat to my left and had his arm over my shoulders. We then saw two black cars and a SUV pull onto my curb. I went out to greet them with Noah following me. Mitch, Rob, and Mat carpooled here. Jordan and Dakari drove together in Jordan's car and Breanne drove Justin and Clove here with her truck. I greeted everyone and we figured out how we were going to carpool in the most fuel efficient cars and ended up Noah, me, and Dakari in my car. Mitch said he could fit one more guy in his car so we stuffed Justin in with them. That left Jordan's car with Clove and Breanne. We all rearranged our bags and agreed to stop at Tim Hortons for coffee and the super market for a couple bags of chips and sodas. So we all got in our cars and started our road trip. We all pulled into Tim Hortons, got our coffee, left and went to the store and got bags of chips and packs of soda and water. I drove as leader of our three car train. There wasn't much traffic as we drove. The sun rose fully and we were away from any big city. We had the music playing low and we were all playing a game of invisible I spy. We had to guess of what the spyer was think of by the adjectives they gave. It was fun until Noah kept giving details totally opposite of what he meant! He'd say it was something sad and then say the happiest thing in the world. Time passed eventually and I started to remember the more exact details on how to get to my parents cabin. I drove off the interstate and turned onto a county highway.

"Are we close?" Dakari asked excitedly.

"Yes we are. Are the guys still following us?" I asked

"Yup" Noah stated while turning around

"Ok. Cool" I replied

"How much longer?" Noah asked

"About thirty minutes" I estimated

"Ok sweet. I'll tell the others" Noah said while pulling out his phone and texting some of the people in the other cars. I followed the county highway for a little bit passing some lakes and small shops as I went by. I checked every road sign, making sure I didn't pass the road I needed. I then saw the road I was looking for. Oneonta Drive. I slowed as I approached it and turned left onto the road. It seemed to be a nice road. Fully paved and not to old looking. I made sure everyone followed me and didn't miss the road. I drove down the road slowly, looking for the cabin in the picture.

Then what I saw amazed me.
