Chapter 14

(CALEB POV)

I arrived home from work and found all of Kayla's stuff here but no Kayla. I walked around the condo looking for her, but I wasn't particularly worried. I just checked her room, the bathroom, the living room. A glimmer of red caught my eye. There she was in the backyard. She was just sleeping in the yard. She looked so peaceful in the late afternoon sun. Do I wake her up? I probably should. I walked around the kitchen table and opened the door to the backyard. She didn't flinch as I shut the door behind me and walked to her. I bent down and nudged her shoulder. She gasped while her body did a major flinch and her eyes jolted open.

"OH. OH my god. Sorry I get scared easily" she said while gaining her breath back.

"No it's ok. It's fine" I laughed. She then got up and started walking back into the condo.

"What should we do for supper?" She asked as I followed her back into the kitchen.

"Leftovers and ramen noodles?" I asked

"Ok" she called as she bent over started bring food out of the fridge. Oh man, dat ass. NOPE. STOP THAT. SHES YOUR ROOMMATE! I know, but.....but .... dat ass though. QUIT IT. NOW!! Ok fine.

"How's this?" She asked as she brought out some leftover pizza, sandwiches, and some salad.

"It's good" I replied. We then heated up our dinners in the microwave and had leftovers and glasses of coke and diet coke. We then washed our dishes and finished our laundry we washed the other day. She then said she was going to turn in for the night.

(KAYLA POV)

Ok. One more day at work and I get TO GO PAINTBALLING. I can't wait! But first, I want to check the videos Mat, Noah, Justin, and Taz recorded. I grabbed my laptop that was sitting on its bedside table charging. I hopped in bed and pulled up youtube. All of a sudden I got a text. It was from Amber.

(CONVERSATION)

A- hey it's amber.

K- hey what's up?

A- did u see Mat's video?!

K- the one with me in it?

A- YES. Did u see it?

K- I'm about to hold on

(CONVERSATION END)

I put down meh phone and started playing the video Amber was talking about. It seemed ok. It got the normal amount of views he usually gets. Everything seemed normal, just with a few extra people. I saw him punch me a couple times. So that's who was hitting me out of the cannon! But other than that the video seemed normal. I don't why she wanted me to see it so badly.

(CONVERSATION)

K- ok i saw it. What's wrong with it?

A- nothing is wrong with the vid

K- then what did you want me to see?

A- the comments!

(CONVERSATION END)

I put down my again and looked at my laptop again. I scrolled down and started looking through the comments. What shocked me was how quick to judge they were. Some of the comments were ok like saying that they loved the series or saying notice me senpai. Some of the rude ones were, who the hell is kayla?; WHY ARE YOU GUYS RECORDING WITH HER; Is Kayla one of ya'll girlfriends?; she sounds ugly!?; why do you record with that bitch?! These comments made me feel hurt, but I wouldn't let them get to me. They don't even know me. Besides it's just their first reaction. Maybe they all had a bad day or something. I'm not going to let their comments get to me right now. I picked up my phone again and started texting Amber back.

(CONVERfuckingSATION)

K- i saw them. It's ok

A- no it's not ok. We have to do something about it

K- there's nothing to do. Besides they are not that bad and it's my birthday soon. I don't want to deal with this now. Ok?

A- fine. But if it gets any worse. I'm gonna go smack down on them. Ok?

K- lol ok

A- k. I'm gonna watch some vids and get to bed see ya

K- see ya

I put my phone back to full volume and set my alarm clock on it. I then picked out my second work shirt and got my outfit ready for tomorrow. Then I called my boss and told him I need Wednesday off for my birthday. He agreed and wished me a happy birthday. I hung up and made sure I had everything I needed for tomorrow. Now that everything was set I grabbed my laptop again and thought about calling Noah. Maybe.... No. I don't want to seem desperate. Besides, I will see him soon enough. I took out contacts and changed into a big shirt. I then went back onto YouTube and and watched random videos of the guys quietly and fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up to the same alarm and did my daily routine. I was out the door a little early today for the morning shift and had time to make myself a coffee and chat with my coworker Jacob while we waited until it was time to open. The day went by a little slower than usual, but it eventually ended. I said my goodbyes and went back home. Caleb wasn't there yet again so I decided to clean a little. After I did that I decided to message Noah about tomorrow.
