Kirstie's POV

When the show was over, I noticed Zima coming towards me. Odd, she usually just called, or sent her personal Snow Pigeons – an odd breed of pigeon, made by Snow, who were white in color and specially bred to be trained for personal errands – to contact me. She was approaching quickly, and looked worried. "Ice," she whispered when she got close enough, careful to keep her voice down. My band-mates, fans, and anyone who knew me in my mortal life still referred to me as 'Kirstie', instead of my elemental name. "We have an issue. You must come with me immediately."

"Okay, I'll just tell my friends." I said, but she held up her hand.

"No, Ice. There is no time. This is urgent, please come." She said. I nodded and followed her quickly out of the building. Luckily, no one noticed. Once we were outside, I summoned an ice cloud – a solid sheet of ice that was as light as air, and worked as a sort of magic carpet – and climbed aboard it with Zima. And then we were on our way.

 -

"Ice, Zima, you're here-" Snow said when we got to the Den. It was an underground network of tunnels and caves that spanned the world. You think that that's impossible? Not for the Fawnas. "Ice, what..." She murmured, gesturing to my appearance.

"Relax, Snow." I said. "Just give me a moment."

With a simple wave of my hand, my entire appearance transformed. The tan was melted off – literally – and my hair webbed with ice crystals until it was my usual white. I took off the contacts and discarded them on the ground, leaving them for a Winter Wisp to pick up.

Wisps were small orbs of light that served as personal servants to the elements. Winter Wisps were white and freezing cold to the touch, like small balls of ice. Summer Wisps were bright orange and burning hot, the opposite of Winter. Spring Wisps were green, and sparkled like the morning dew. There were, of course, no Fall Wisps.

Seasonal Elements also had their own servants. Each Elemental got an animal coordinated to their name, aka their element. My animal was the penguin, Zima had the polar bear, and Snow had the snow fox.

Spring and Summer had animals coordinated to their own seasons, but I didn't know their exact animals; servants were unknown to all elements except those of your season, if that makes any sense.

"Good then," Snow said. "I was thinking you were going to have a lecture."

Ugh, lectures. I was four to them, since that's I'd been initiated four years ago. Zima was a senior element, one of the originals. She was technically thousands of years old. But she looked about forty. Snow was about twenty in Element Years, and about thirty in appearance, which meant she was sort of a mother to me, and was free to lecture me if I made a mistake.

Lectures were the most annoying things ever, so I tried to avoid them.

"Nope, not necessary," I said, willing my clothes to be replaced with a sparkling layer of ice, thick enough to look like a dress. It was sleeveless, with a tight bodice and a flowing skirt. Because my skin was so cold, the dress wouldn't melt off my body.

"Good. Now, we must go immediately." Zima said. She led snow and I to the main den, which was near the New York entrance. All the elements were waiting there. I scuttled over to my fellow four year old Elementals, Gust and Flame. The originals talked quietly around the Earth Orb, a large ball in the center of the main den which was used to widespread our elemental powers. Heat was a very tan man who looked about fifty, with orange hair and eyes and a suit made of pure flames. They flicked and moved in a pattern of orange, red, white, and blue. His skin would be extremely hot, and he was immune to heat, so it didn't affect him. But he could melt any one of us winter elements, because of the heat radiating from him. Flame was less powerful, and couldn't melt a Winter, which meant that being close to him wasn't a big deal for me.

Rain was a middle-aged woman with wavy hair the color of a storm cloud. Her clothes were made of water, and lightning bolts occasionally flashed on her dress. Her eyes were stormy grey, with specks of dark blue and yellow.

And then there was Zima, with her long-sleeved ice dress and her white hair and her icy blue eyes. They talked under their breath while I sat with the other four-years. They looked identical to their elders, although with slightly different facial features. Plus, Gust was a male and Rain was a female. "Do you know what they're talking about?" I whispered.

"No, they're not telling us." Gust whispered back. He and I were very close, almost as close as, say, Scott and I.

 "Oh, okay." I replied.

I guess I would just have to wait and see.
