Kirstie's POV

When I woke up, I was snuggled up to Mitch. Shit! I threw the blankets off and ran into the bathroom, looking in the mirror. My contacts were gone, leaving a burning feeling in my eyes. I felt a burn in the rest of my body as well. I'm melting.

 Warmth and winter don't mix.

I closed the door, turned on the bathroom fan, and turned on the water to the coldest setting. I quickly got undressed and stepped into the freezing water, immediately feeling it rejuvenating me. I was solidifying. Good.

 "Kirstie?" I heard Mitch call.

"Hang on!" I called back. I turned off the water and stepped out. Crap, I didn't bring any clothes. I had my contacts in the bathroom, thank God, but no clothes. I put my contacts in and sighed. "Hey, um, I don't have any clothes in here. I'm going to have to come out there... uh... yeah..."

"Kirstie, you're forgetting a vital detail." He said. "I'm gay. I won't give a damn."

I laughed a little and opened the bathroom door. I had a towel wrapped around me, but that was it. He was flipping through the channels on the TV. "Morning sunshine," he said as I walked over to my suitcase. I let the towel drop, trying not to feel super awkward, and grabbed the first clothes I saw. I ran back into the bathroom and pulled on what I'd gotten. Jeans and a light blue t-shirt. This would do.

I walked out of the bathroom and sat on the bed next to Mitch. "Are you warmer now?" He asked.

He was worried about me. It was so cute...

 Wait, what?

 Could I like Mitch?

No, no. Not possible.

"Yeah," I lied. I was immune to cold. He reached out and touched a hand to my skin.

 "No, you're not." He said.

 "I swear Mitch, I'm fine."

"Alright..." he sighed. I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Friendly, I swear! It was just to calm him down...

 He really was cute, though.
