Kirstie's POV

"Do I smell bacon?" I heard Mitch at the door. I turned and saw him standing in the entryway, hair messy and orange eyes exposed. Autumn hopped off of her chair and pointed at the table.

"Daddy, I made the table! I put the dishes on it, and the napkins, and the forks!" She ran over to Mitch and he picked her up, smiling at her. I chuckled as she giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I see that princess, good job." He kissed her on her cheek and set her back in her chair, coming over to me and slipping his arms around my waste. "Morning," he whispered and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Ew!" Autumn yelled from the table.

"You hush!" Mitch said jokingly. I pulled the pancakes off the stove and put one on each plate. The bacon was ready as well, so I grabbed Autumn's plate and put a piece of bacon. I did the same on each of Mitch's plate and my own, only we had two pieces. Mitch sat down at the table and I did the same after putting some OJ on the table.

Autumn had a butter knife in her hand and was trying to spread butter on her pancakes. I watched her out of the corner of my eye, making sure she didn't hurt herself. "Help!" She wailed. I snapped my head up and saw her pancake shredded, obviously she had been spreading it wrong. I chuckled and took her plate, flipping the pancake and spreading some butter on the better side.

"There you go, baby." I handed her the plate and poured her a glass of juice.

Mitch wolfed down his pancake and stood to get another one. "You being a mom is so hot," he whispered as he passed me. I rolled my eyes and took a few bites of pancake. When Mitch sat back down, Autumn looked up.

"Daddy?"

"Yes princess?"

"You said you would tell me what happened to me." Mitch and I exchanged a glance.

"Well... sweetie, you know how it's summer right now, right?" She nodded. "I, your father, control the summer, along with two other people." She began to speak, I assumed to ask a question, but he held up his hand. "We're called Elementals. The humans, like Uncle Scott and all them, don't know about us. Your mom is also an Elemental, but she controls winter. So when winter comes, she knows how to control it. You're our daughter, which means we made you."

"How did you make me?"

Mitch gulped and I held in my laughter. "Um... well... you see... uh... it's magic. Yup, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, something magical happens and they have a baby." Autumn nodded and Mitch let out a sigh of obvous relief. "Alright, when we made you, you had a mix of our powers. But then, you changed. You're very special Autumn, because you can control fall. You have very special and very rare powers. Understand?"

"I guess..." she mumbled, pushing her pancake back and forth. Mitch and I exchanged another worried glance. It didn't seem like she was taking this too well...

Mitch's POV

Later in the evening, I laid Autumn down in her bed. "Goodnight princess," I whispered, kissing her on the forhead. "Call me if you need anything."

"Night daddy!" I turned her light off and closed her door, sititng down with Kirstie. We watched TV for a while and then I heard a window break. I jumped up and heard Autumn scream. "Daddy!"

"Autumn!" I yelled, running into her room. Kirstie was right behind me. Heat was in the window, holding a struggling Autumn in his arms. "You son of a bitch!" I shouted. "Put her down!" Before I could do anything else, he jumped out the window, taking Autumn with him.
