Chapter 18: Emotions

Ersha is sitting alone in the balcony, thinking of what Andro had said to her yesterday.  Since that unexpected proposal from him, she couldn't look straight to him  anymore.  Every time they cross each other, her heart bumps.  A part of her wants to run towards him and give him a nice long hug but the other part keeps her from doing it.  Her mind tells her that it wouldn't be practical to enter in a relationship in a 19th century period or else, it would only end in a heartbreak if ever she'll go back to the time where she rightfully belongs.

"Ersha, are you feeling fine?"  Mrs. Dulce ask for she noticed Ersha to be thinking very deeply. So, she  walk towards her and say, "Do you want to come along with me?  I'll be going downtown to buy something."

Ersha liked the idea so she responded "yes" and goes immediately to her room to change.  After a few minutes, Ersha comes out, smelling good, looking fresh and alluring.  Andro, who just comes out of his room sees Ersha and his mother to be going somewhere so he asks them.  "Where are you two going?

"We'll be going downtown"  replied Mrs. Dulce.

"Ok ma, but don't let anyone catch attention on Ersha." said Andro.

"Don't be silly Andro,  Of course, with her beauty who would not take a look at her" answered Mrs. Dulce.

The two women are leaving the house and as they start moving, Andro called Ersha through the window.  As Ersha looked, Andro winks at her and whispered " I will miss you."  Mrs. Dulce got curious on what Andro's telling to Ersha so she looks up which then made Andro behave back again and smiling.  Ersha was amused of his behavior and then waved back to Andro saying goodbye.

Andro is left all on his own.  Being alone at home isn't unusual for him but today, he felt different.  Five minutes of being far from Ersha seems like 5 hours already.  He tries to do something to entertain himself, yet the passive thoughts of Ersha wouldn't stop.  His emotions overwhelmed him so he decides to write a poem for her.  The words came out easily as quickly as the ink's oozing on the pen.  Andro has never felt and acted that way before.

Without notice, lunch time came already and no one has returned  home yet.  Andro goes to the kitchen to get something to eat.  When he is about to go back to the dining room, he heard voices giggling outside and it's approaching towards the house.  He looks over the window to see who's out there and to his surprise, Ersha is with Mario.  The sight of them made Andro feel jealous and by the look of Ersha and Mario's faces who were as if they developed a mutual relationship, it made Andro more envious.

Ersha and Mario were getting nearer into the door and as Mario starts to grab the handle, it opened and Andro came out asking them instantly, "Why are you with Ersha Mario?  I thought you were with my mother Ersha and how about you Mario, what made you come here?

The two are a bit shock of Andro's queries and he looks mad at them.  So to calm his emotions, Mario responded, "Oh Andro, I have always been frequent in your house before but I came here today to give you an important message."

Ersha didn't comment anymore, she just rushed towards the door and left Andro and Mario behind.  The two then followed inside.  Andro invited Mario to the dining room so there they can talk.  Ersha on the other hand stayed in the kitchen where she ate her lunch in a small kitchen table for she doesn't want to meddle on the matters of Andro's and Mario's conversation.

" I heard what Ersha did to you in prison.  Such a brave lady and you also are a one lucky guy."  said Mario in an amusing way.

"So don't mess with her for you don't know what she's capable of doing."  Andro answered in a warning tone.  "and by the way, why are you with her?"

Well, I saw her walking home alone on a few blocks from here and since I'll be going in the same route, I came along with her.  Mrs.  Dulce also informed her to go home first for she has still other errands to do."

How was the plan for another coup?  Andro ask in a serious mood.

"About that, the group decided if you could relax for awhile for you're still in hot waters with the government.  The group couldn't afford to cause you in further danger.  Also, the plot will be in three days from now and with your condition right now, I think it would not be alright to join", Mario explained.

Andro turned silent after hearing the message.  He just chew on his food for minutes and pondering on what Mario had said.  Mario also fell silent, ate his own food while waiting for Andro's reply.  He knew very well that when Andro becomes quiet, he thinks hard and when he decides, he can't be stopped.

After 10 minutes of silence, Andro decided, "Alright, I respect your decision.  Just update me from time to time on what's going on with our group."

Mario got relieved after hearing Andro's answer and without further ado, he bid him farewell.  As he walks out the dining room, Mario takes a left turn which led to the kitchen and in there, he made a short chitchat with Ersha.  Andro wondered what took Mario long in the kitchen so he went to follow. As he entered, the two of them turned quiet and Mario immediately said, " Okey Ersha.  I'll be going now.  See you next time."  Ersha's reply was only a nod and it made Mario feel jealous more and intrigue on how she and Mario became closer.
