Ren's convoy was about to leave the next morning after stopping nearby some castle ruins to rest.  The grass was still wet from the early morning rain which will give a hard time to the horses. The mud was too slippery for them to climb so Sir Ren decided to take a different route. In two more days, they were supposed to arrive at Stewjon.

This time Rey slept in a small bed inside a tent. She was exhausted and fall asleep immediately, forgetting about the world. The soldiers didn't tie her hands last night either because Ren was starting to trust her a little bit. Rey rode always behind him and the mysterious knights of Ren. There were times she would stare at his strong back while he never perceived it. During the days she has been held a prisoner, Rey has not seen or heard about any wife of his. Not even an offspring existed. Were war and power more important for Sir Ren than to form a family? That seems to be the case. Rey thought about thanking him for the liberties Ren was giving her lately. On their next stop, she would. Queen Leia and Dorme taught her to always be grateful even to those who wished ill.

"Perhaps on that day, my impending execution will take place," She thought as they entered some thick woods.

They slowed down their horses and thought dead was in the air. Not a single leaf moved and birds weren't hearable. Ren couldn't explain it. "Concentrate watch your front, gentlemen." His eyes strained to the front.

The forest was too quiet for their liking. Suddenly, the smell of blood in the air penetrated Hux's nostrils but tried to ignore his senses. He knew Snoke was not going to attack Ren's army yet until making it to Stewjon. "Ren, we should send a man to see what's ahead."

Kylo could also smell the death rotten bodies from afar but preferred to stay quiet. Alarming his men, especially the girl, was not a perfect choice. "Nothing's wrong, Hux. It's just your head playing stupid things as always."

"Sire, the general is right." One knight of Ren insisted too. "One of us could go and check before continuing."

As they discussed their move, Rey wondered what could they be talking about. It was hard to listen when one of them had an iron mask on. Hux looked somehow worried, looking around the area as if they were expecting something to appear. Then, they slowed down to a stop. Rey did too, wondering why here. "What's.."

"Rogue Ren!" Kylo called. The knight approached them on his horse.

"Sire," he said, waiting for any instructions.

Kylo looked at Hux, then at the Monk Ren, "Go and tell us what you see there."

"Be alert in case of an attack," Hux added.

The knight nodded, "I will sire," Then he turned his horse and rode ahead to find out what was the cause of that smell.

A few minutes passed and Rogue Ren wasn't back yet. They were still on their horses, waiting for the brave knight to bring them any news. Rey was hot and impatient, wanting to know what was happening. Kylo turned his head to look at Rey. "Sorry for the abrupt delay, Miss Kenobi. We're making sure the coast is clear."

"Is there something wrong?" Rey asked partly concerned.

"Pretty sure it will be nothing. This happens all the time." He answered turning to look at the woods.

But Rey wasn't so sure about that. The look on his face told her otherwise and the other men were starting to get impatient. Then, the sound of a horse approaching them alerted everyone around.

"Have your weapons ready," Hux ordered the men.

Rey looked around nervously. She was unarmed and could easily get killed. Everyone unsheathed their swords ready for any attack.
