The journey back to Birren felt like a never-ending nightmare. Guards were finally coming back home after days of searching for a girl they could give a rats ass about but they were forced to follow orders from the queen. Most royal guards came from distant villages endangering themselves out there with the purpose to provide their families. Rey could sometimes hear their conversations as she rode inside a wooden carriage. It's been three days since they left Stewjon and also her husband behind. Rey cried all the time thinking about Sir Ren's fate. She couldn't sleep well during the journey and wasn't that much hungry. The only thing she had was water. Dark circles appeared under her eyes from lack of sleep.
If she attempted to run away Poe would most likely order his men to kill her. He could go back to Birren and inform the Queen how Rey was killed by some enemy captors. Rey was a traitor to these men, including Finn. Their friendship would no longer be the same as before. He attacked Kylo with no hesitation because of her. It was going to be difficult to remain friends with him after what happened. However, the lost Stewjon princess would tell the truth to an ill Leia. That she married Birren's controversial prince and consummated the marriage with him the same night. Rey was still wearing a nightgown and her wedding band. Looking down at her chest, a half smile appeared on her lips as she noticed some passion bruises caused by Sir Ren's ferocious mouth.
"If only the Queen could help me," Rey thought, playing with her hair ends. "find the Knights of Ren."
These men were loyal to their master and Rey trusted them. At least they were different than General Hux. The man disturbed the lost princess and seemed to have a deep hatred for Sir Ren. Hux will never lend a hand for any cause and he demonstrated it when Kylo got attacked by the wild boar. It's clear as the water that he wanted to command Sir Ren's army and obtain all power.
The carriage stopped and the rest of the guards proceeded to dismount and get some water from a nearby lake. Finn walked over the carriage and opened the small door. He saw Rey glancing out of the window and as usual ignoring him. He sighed.
"Here's some water." He offered her from a water flask. Rey didn't take it and continue to gaze away from Finn. "Rey.."
"...Can you STOP pestering me?" Rey shot feeling extremely annoyed.
This hurt the young man seeing how she was acting like this. "I'm just trying to help, Rey. Everyone in here as well."
"Help? What help?? YOU and Poe crushed my heart into many pieces!" Rey shouted angrily.
"Rey, that man kidnapped you," Finn said flatly. "It was our duty to bring you back home safe."
"That man is my husband!" She reminded him angrily. "He never did me any wrong and SAVED me from that bastard Duke Plutt!"
"Something we could have also prevented. Rey, what we did was the right thing."
The princess rolled her eyes at this answer. "You have changed, Finn. Your jealousy is destructive. Where's that kindness or humbleness you used to have before?"
Then he looked closely at her and began to fear that something was not right with Rey lately. "I am absolutely fine. The one who has turned destructive and cold-hearted here it's you."
"Get out! GET OUT!" She yelled and before Rey could hit him with the water flask, Finn closed the door quickly.
Poe approached a worried Finn as Rey's angry yells inside the carriage could be heard all over the forest. Everyone was beginning to think she was truly insane and that perhaps Ren bewitched her.
