We walk in and I see my mom on the couch crying her eyes out.
"Why did she have to go? Why did she have to get cancer?" my mom says between sobs. "Why did she have to go now?"
"Well." my dad says "At least she is with Augustus now,"
"But....." my mom's voice trails off.
"She will be alright." my dad says choking back tears.
"NO SHE WON'T!!!" my mom yells at the top of her lungs. "She needs her family. She needs her mom!!! I wish I could have said one last goodbye to her." my mom says more calmly.
"It's okay." my dad says as he walks over and hugs mom.
"She has Augustus," my dad adds. "He will keep her safe."
I'm crying. I hate to see my parents so sad and heartbroken. I turn away I can;t watch anymore.
"Do you want to go back?" asks Augustus.I don't know what to say or do. My feet stay planted to the ground.
"Hazel?" asks Augustus.
All of a sudden I run to my parents and join them in the hug. I know they can't see me. But I know that they can feel me. My dad wraps his arm around me. As if I was there right now. I finally break the hug. I walk towards Augustus. Tears streaming down my face.
"Lets go," I manage to choke out.
