Chapter 6
"See ya later, alligator!"
"After while, crocodile." I said it back out of politeness but that was so lame! Who even said that anymore? I'm like wow. But I guess he paid the price to be lame because he was so kind and generous. I mean not only did he take me to get gas but, he stopped at his mother's house to get they gas jug for me to use. So that way, I wouldn't have to buy one of my own. How thoughtful? Although, I might have could've used one, but I can always buy one later. Right? I mean, he even bought me dinner! I mean, well technically, he didnt buy it but...No he's not a little criminal. Let me explain. We were on our way back from the gas station. And we passed by a Taco King. Now me, I was hungry as I hadn't eaten anything in like since forever. Actually, I realized I hadn't eaten all day, today. Between leaving Cynth's place early, catching Momma and the deacon, running..into Phil, and all my car trouble, I hadn't stopped to eat. Boy what a day! And right then, I definitely could put away about two five-layer burritos, one bell-grande size nacho, a few spicy sweet bread-sticks, and a large cup of frizzle sparkle. So I asked him to take me there. Boy did I feel needy! But he kept driving and I actually got mad because I felt like even though he didn't owe me, we were right there at it! So I yelled at him. Haha, and he told me he was taking me to a place called Quick. Quick was a fast food-restaurant that served mexican and chicken, including chicken tacos. But the best part was it owned by a good pal of his, named Mac. Mac also was part owner of a couple of other places and he owned two other Quick's. So Mac let his boy, Kyle eat there whenever, for free or at least for a big discount might as well say free. Kyle told me, while I was busy eating an twenty piece assortment of asian, barbecue, southern(which were just seasoned, plain fried), and spicy chicken wings (I had just finished stuffing my mouth full of chicken tacos and salsa and cheese dip) that he brought me here cause he figured I was tight on money! How dare he assume that, but it was true. And in the same breath, he told me his mother had told him. That lady was starting to annoy me, and quite frankly, scare me. She couldn't really think she was physic, could she? Maybe all the years of faking had made her believe or at least, gotten her good at guessing. Either way, one day she would say something so out of the way and off the wall that people would be....typical and she'd lose all her credibility. But then again, I'm no fortune-teller. Haha!
After, I'd finally finished eating my mexican icecream and churros, Kyle shocked me by getting a bag of 10 chicken tacos to go. He said that'd since I liked them them that'd save on groceries. He then took me home but ,we made another quick stop first. For a shopping spree! Well, if spending two hundred bucks at Merry-mart counts. No new clothes, as I only got stuff for the house. I got a cookware set (three pots and two pans), a silverware set, a stack of paper-plates, a pack of plastic cups, coffee machine, some bedsheets, some cleaning stuff, and a few groceries;mainly fruit and junk-food like chips and cookies. But the best part is, Kyle paid for half of it, like the wine that I couldn't purchase because I wasn't of age but he was. Of course I had just paid him back before he left me at home. But still, something made me wonder why he was being so nice especially when it was late (now eleven o clock) even though he acted as if he didn't want to help me at first. Did he want booty or something? Cause I'm NOT that kinda girl. Pssh, betta ask somebody! But seriously, something just
wasn't right about him. I wonder what... But maybe it was just him being a flirt, with defects and I'm jus trippin? .and I wonder if he could tell my situation? What with no parents and all? Maybe, he thought I was just here visiting or that I had moved here because of work. Speaking of moving, I'm gonna have to find somewhere else to live in a month. Maybe need to call Phil and see how much he'll charge for rent..Maybe I can have a discount, I'm already staying here for free so might as well. But it wouldn't hurt to look just in case, he says no. Maybe....No Kyle wouldn't! Plus he'd be all up in my business. I don't need all that. And I needed to find a job! Oh so much to do, I'm gonna write a list....
