An now you will see a little more of the plot unfold in this chapter of The Lie. I also decided to use just Brendan and May for this book instead because an idea came to me when I came up with this chapter.
____________________________________She was very curious about this new girl. Never in her life had Lisia ever seen someone with such long hair and the girl was taking half of the crowd's attention away from her and all of the other contestants. It was all because of that girl that once the contest was over, Lisia was not able to talk to Brendan.
He and May were trying to find out who the mysterious girl was along with half of the rest of the crowd. That really upset Lisia and she began to feel something that she hadn't felt in a while. Jealousy.
It was something that an idol hardly ever had to worry about. Everyone loved idols and of course there were stars but they had to constantly fight for their position as a star. Idols didn't have to worry about that. It was hard to replace an idol but this new girl just might have been the kind of person for the job.
"I won't let you and that silly body gaurd of yours steal my spotlight. And you most definitely won't be stealing Brendan away from me!" Lisia said to herself as she walked around her specially designed room in the contest spectacular.
Yes, the idol had a huge crush on the contest star Brendan. He was the best in Coolness Contests and she was the best in Beauty Contests. She always tried to catched his attention but for some reason, she never could.
Lisia wasn't worried about anyone else stealing his heart until that mysterious, beautiful, nearly perfect...what was she thinking! She couldn't give her new enemy any compliments!
"Ali, what am I going to do? I can't let her win him over. Something tells me she's coming back to Lilycove. There's no way someone like her was going to stay in the confinements of one place," Lisia rambled. Ali was confused by Lisia's actions of fustration.
"I have to find a way to stop her, but how?" Lisia was saying to Ali as she pondered how she would plan this new girl's demise. She paced back in forth in that room until an idea came to her.
"That's it! That's just what I'll do. Then when I show everyone that she isn't an angel then they will love me even more and I will finally win over Brendan's heart!" she said with hearts in her eyes as she thought about the Coolness Contest Star.
"I can't let May know about my plan though. Knowing her, she might find the girl and warn her about it. I have to get rid of the body gaurd too. He seems intimidating. If I make her look bad, he might come after me if I don't do the same to him as well," Lisia thought more so out loud than in her head. She was startled by a sudden knock on her door.
"Hey, Lisia! May and I got a call from my dad. He needs us back at the lab. We'll be back soon but you could come if you would like to." It was Brendan.
Lisia's eyes regained the hearts but she quickly regained her composure and said, "No, no. You two can go ahead. I have to practice for my next contest with Ali. Something tells me that we're going to need it."
Brendan suspected nothing from her words and she heard him walk away. She stood there facing the door for about five minutes to make sure Brendan had time to leave before she went out.
"Come on, Ali. Let's go and practice for our epic future. Once we finish this spectacular performance, Brendan will want to fall in love with me five times over. We'll be fabulous!" Lisia said to Ali. The two of them left the contest spectacular and headed for the pokémon fan club where Lisia believed she would have the perfect audience to practice in front of.
She entered and everyone in the building immediately turned their head in her direction and squealed in excitement, or at least the girls did.
"Hello, everyone! I was wondering if I could get you guys to rate me on my performance while I practice. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right," she said with her most innocent look and her signature pose. All but one of the people in the room agreed. It was that one person that struck one of Lisia's nerves.
"Lisia! I saw this one girl today that was really pretty! She seemed like the type of person that you would scout to become a contest star!" the ace trainer said. It took all of the power of an idol that Lisia had not to glare at him.
"I was lucky enough to get a nearby photographer to snap her photo for me! See!" he said pulling out a picture from his trainer's bag and shoeing it off.
It was indeed the same girl that Lisia was after and the fact that her fans where starting to like her made her want to do more than just humiliate the girl.
"I wish she didn't have such a boyfriend though. I would have totally asked her out," he said as he admired the photo. Some of the other fans had gathered around him to see the picture as well. Those faithful few followers crowded around Lisia rather than the photo and eagerly begged to see her routine.
She ignored the others who decided it was better to look at a photo of some nobody summoning a Charizard instead of admiring their long time idol.
"Alrighty everyone! I think I will practice on the beach. It's very beautiful there," Lisia announced as she and Ali made there way to their spot to practice.
"That girl is bringing out a side of me that no one should ever have to see. I hate this entire situation. Whoever she is, I hope she'll never show her face in Hoenn again once I'm done with her," Lisia thought in her head this time. Her followers were too close for her ro risk letting them hear he evil plans.
It wasn't until she'd began to pracrice did she realize that the professor, who happened to be Brendan's dad, was in the photo as well. If Brendan's father called him and the girl was with the professor from what it showed in the photo which only meant one thing.
Lisia immediately regretted not going with her crush. Now she'd just given the girl a chance to steal her Brendan's heart. She had entirely forgotten that the ace trainer had mentioned the girl already having a boyfriend. That bit of information hadn't even registered in her mind.
____________________________________I am so sorry about the teo day wait but I finally updated! If you like Lisia, I am so sorry for making her the bad guy. If you don't like her then this shouldn't bother you. Also May is the daughter of the gym leader, Norman, and not Brendan's sister. I thought there might be a little confusion there so...but until next time my wonderful readers!
