Your life has never been easy. People think life being a princess is oh so easy but what they didn't realise was that you had no decision what so ever who you married.
You were the second born child of your mother and father who were king and Queen of your country. Your older brother was going to become King, so you were just there to be married off and give the country allies. Well, that was the way your parents saw it.
You were 21, nearly passing the suitable age in society to not be married. So your parents went out and looked for a suitor. Unknown to you, they contacted the king of England, King George III, to try and arrange a marriage. These sort of marriages were never for love, they were always for power, land and money. Your country was very powerful, much like England.
You didn't find out until after King George had said yes. When your mother told you that you had to leave in 2 weeks, you cried for days. You knew there was no way you were getting out of the wedding.
The two weeks flew over and before you knew it you were in England. You had arrived 2 weeks before the wedding so you had time to get to know the king. How do you get to know someone in 2 weeks? You thought to yourself. Especially a man your meant to spent the rest of your life with.
He was throwing a ball on the night you arrived to introduce you to his advisors and lords and ladies who lived in Britain. You were taken to your room by one of the servants.
Your maid, who had came with you from your country, helped you into your corset and then into your purple ball gown. She then plaited your hair and tied it up into an up-do.
"Thankyou, Maria." You said to your maid as you looked in the mirror. You could barely breath in your corset but you did look very beautiful.
"No problem, madam. You should be going to the ball now, we don't want to leave the king waiting." You pulled on your shoes and the servants of the castle showed you to the main entrance of the ball room.
When you walked into the ball room, your name was announced.
"Princess y/n of c/n (country name)"
Your name was announced and everyone looked at you. You walked down the stairs and you saw George walk up towards you. He bowed and you curtsied as he kissed your hand.
"Princess y/n! It is so nice to finally meet you."
"And you, your majesty. But please, just call me y/n."
"Then call me George. Would you like to dance?"
"Of course, George."
You made your way into the dance floor and began to dance. You danced all night gracefully and all eyes were on you all night. You were introduced to many of George's advisors and the lords of the kingdom.
When the night was finished, you said goodbye to George and you both went back to your rooms.

After a week of meeting each other, you and George had got to know each other really well. Although, he had never asked you to help you with any of his problems as king.On one of the days, you were called to his office. You knocked and entered and saw a worried looking George stood staring at a letter.
"What's wrong?" You asked him.
"Look at this." He said, handing you the letter. You took the letter from him and read it carefully. It was a letter one of his advisors had sent him. It was about theories that France would ally with Spain to try and over power him.
You looked up at George's worried face.
"George, remember this is just a theory." You said, touching the side of his face gently. "Even if this happened, there is no way they would over power you. You are allied with my country now so my country will join your side in any wars."
That was when he leaned in and kissed you. You stood there for a second, and then you kissed back. When you both pulled back, smiles were on both of your faces.

The big day had finally come. Maids rushed around you helping with your corset and dress, doing your hair. It didn't help that your mother was stood in the corner panicking about everything being perfect.
God, you just wanted to go back to bed.
You really liked George. But you didn't think 2 weeks was a long enough time period to find out if you loved someone.
Your heart was pounded when you looked in the mirror, just like that night 2 weeks ago. How long ago that seemed to be.
You were taken to the church and before you knew if you were walking down the isle with your father at your side. You stepped on to the altar and George gave you a reassuring look.
The wedding ran smoothly and at the end you and George walked out of the church, with linked arms.
You did not truly know if you loved George with all your heart, but hopefully you would find out. Together.
