Au: Hamiltime

You had been feeling ill for the past 2 weeks so fearing you were ill, Lafayette asked one of the servants to get the doctor for you.

The doctor told you almost straight away, after you had explained the symptoms of your 'illness', that you were pregnant. You were shocked, as you and Lafayette had been wanting to have children but you had never been able to conceive apart from one time were you had given birth to a still-born.

You and Lafayette mourned for weeks after that event, as you were both excited for the new member of your family. That made you worried for your new child. What if this baby died too? You didn't want both of you to go through that again.

You waited for him to arrive home as he had to leave because of something to do with work. You wrote a letter to your mother and father about the news; Then wrote another letter to your siblings.

~~~
After a while, Lafayette finally returned.
"Lafayette!" You cried, running outside to give him a hug in greeting.
"Y/n, you seem happy. What happened while I was gone?" He replied, while you walked back inside.
"The doctor arrived, and told me some exciting news..." You said, beaming brightly. Though, Lafayette still looked confused as he thought you might be ill. "I'm pregnant!"
Lafayette spun you around, and you both laughed with joy.
"Mon amour, I am so happy! We will be able to start a family!"
9 months later
The nursery had just been finished being decorated and you were both prepared for the baby to arrive.
When you went into labour, the doctors were called immediately to help you. Lafayette was by your side the whole time, holding your hand while you screamed.
You were in labour for hours. It was more painful than when you had given birth the first time.
Finally, you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
"What should we call her?" You asked, cradling your child in your arms.
"Let's name her Y/d/n de Lafayette." Lafayette suggested as you beamed.
"I love it!" You replied hugging both him and the baby.
You were both happy to finally be parents, and happy that your daughter, y/d/n, had been born safely and happily.
