Au: Hamiltime

You were from a upper class family so you had been invited to the Winters ball. You were the only one from your family going as your older brother and sister had already been married of to other upper class people.

Your mother tightened your corset to give you the "perfect" body shape at the time. You then pulled on your emerald green dress and shoes. You stepped into the carriage and of you went to the ball.

Eliza sat in the ball room bored out of her mind. Her sister, Angelica, dances with man after man but no one seemed to catch Eliza's eye.

That was until she saw the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. The girl walked in, with perfect posture. Definitely upper class, Eliza thought to herself.

The woman wore a emerald green dress and her h/c was braided. Her e/c eyes shone when she smiled and talked to someone she knew. The girl talked to Angelica right at that moment. Eliza had to get her sister to introduce her to you.

You had asked by many men to dance, all of which you accepted, because you knew your father would not be happy if you didn't dance with possible suitors.

You met a woman called Angelica Schuyler who you knew as her father worked with yours. You laughed over all the soldiers trying to win both of your praise and hand. She then decided to introduce you to someone.

"Y/n, I would like to introduce you to my sister, Eliza."

"It is really great to meet you Eliza." You said, curtsying.

Angelica could see the look in Eliza's eyes that she had fallen head over heels for you. She was worried that her sister was too obvious, especially since it wasn't socially acceptable to love someone who was the same gender as you.

Someone came over to you and asked you to dance so you said goodbye to Eliza and Angelica and went of to dance.

"Eliza, you need to be careful." Angelica whispered.
"Careful about what? Angelica, I didn't even do anything." Eliza looked at her sister, confused.
"It is very obvious, that you are head over heels for y/n" Angelica replied.

With that, Eliza's face went bright red and she couldn't meet her sisters gaze.

You quickly slipped out of the ballroom. You hated dancing with all the different men when all you wanted to do was talk to Eliza.

In your head, you knew that you and Eliza could never be together but your heart told you to find her. So, you went back into the ballroom to look for her.

You saw the schuyler sisters getting ready to leave. Walking over to them as quickly as you could go, you made it. You gave Eliza a hug and when you pulled away she looked back at you in shock. "Write to me?" You said tilting your head. "Of course" She said leaving.

You watched her walk out the door and couldn't wait to get her first letter.
