6 years old
When you and Peggy were 6 years old, you met for the first time. Your Father was a rich business man so you were well known especially since you were the oldest child. You had 3 younger brothers: Charles, who was 4; Micheal who was 3; and George who was only 2 months.

You met the Schuyler sisters and instantly became friends with them. You became particularly close with Peggy as you were both the same age. She came round yours every other weekend and you both were schooled together.

12 years old
When you were 12, you began to develop a crush on Peggy. At first, you didn't understand what you were feeling.

She was the same as you, but she was more confident than you and had made it her mission to confess to you how she felt about you.

But nothing ever happened because being with someone of the same gender was not acceptable and your parents legacies would be ruined as well as yours.

So, you both stayed quiet.

15 years old
When you were 15, you and Peggy were lying outside in your garden as she was staying over your house. You lay, hand in hand, staring at the stars.

When you looked over at Peggy, the stars were reflected beautifully in her dark brown eyes. You were filled with courage as you leaned over and kissed her.

You quickly pulled away when you had realised what you had done, and lay back where you had been. Your face burned with embarrassment.

Peggy could sense that you were now tense so she leaned over and kissed you. She pulled away and you both beamed at each other.

17 years old
When you were 17, you became sick. At first, it was only coughing but then you began to cough blood and fever. You lost your appetite and began to lose weight fast.

The doctor came and told your parents that it was TB and that you were to stay in bed until you got better. That was if you even got better.

Peggy was there by your side as soon as she heard. She was always positive, talking about the future and about how you were going to travel the world together.

By now, you and Peggy were madly in love with each other. Though, you hadn't told anyone apart from Peggy's sisters Angelica and Eliza because you thought the others might tell on you.

It had made Peggy upset when your father had been trying to find suitors for you. Your father was a very powerful and rich man so suitors had been practically lining up outside the door. You had been turning most away, but your father was beginning to get annoyed. You knew it was only a matter of time.

Peggy slept by your bed each night because you would often wake up ill. At first, you tried to get her to stay away from you in case she caught it. But she was to stubborn and just said "If I can not stand by you now, how will I stand by you when we are married?"
You grinned at her comment.

One morning, you had woken up really ill and you kept crying out in pain. The doctor had been called immediately and Peggy stood outside of your room, pacing anxiously.

The doctor came out of the room to talk to your Parents, 3 brothers and Peggy.
"I'm afraid that she will not last longer than 24 hours like this. I would go and say your farewells. I am very sorry."
They all cried.

Your parents and 3 brothers went in first and you told them how much you loved them and you all cried. Then, Peggy came in as they left.

You hugged her tightly as you both cried into each others shoulders.
"The doctor has said I won't last 24 hours but I will. I'll fight it." You said, weeping and not sounding very convincing.
"I know." Peggy said, looking at you with a sad look.
"Peggy," you looked at her sadly. "If I don't make, find someone else to love and make you happy. Don't wait to meet me up there." You pointed at ceiling.
Peggy proceeded to burst into sobs again, hugging you tightly.

You lasted a total of 25 hours after the doctors conversation with you. And you fought until the very last moment.

Peggy wept for months, not leaving her room for the first month. Her love was gone. You were gone.

She couldn't believe it until your funeral and even then she could never seem to process it.

Her father ended up marrying her of to some rich guy as she didn't even put up a fight because you were no longer there to fight with her.

Though, she always kept a piece of cloth from one of your dresses up her sleeve to remind her of you. She couldn't wait to meet you again one day.
