The fight

Sapphire's P.O.V

I heard the snarling and snapping as i slowly turned to see the two most important men in my life fighting with eachother and what was worse, i didn't know who was winning. It was like everything was in slow motion and every snap that my father made Bennet made one back, just as deadly. I looked around at the pack and saw that no one was doing anything to stop either of them from fighting.

I screamed at the top of my lungs but no one listened to me which just left me in a depressed slump. I felt the pain Bennet was in from every snap that was made at him, some even causing a cut or two on me from our bond but that didn't stop my father though it did stop Ben and made him turn to look and see if i was okay, my father taking the chace to lunge for his neck and in that second my heart skipped because i was about to lose my mate. The world went dark.

Bennet's P.O.V

I knew he was going for my throat but my mate always had to be top priority to me above all else and i knew she was in pain like i was. I looked at her and then something amazing happened, her father went flying back across the yard and the pack, including myself got a rush of adreanline. I smiled and ran over to her, shifting and picking her up into my naked chest.

"That was amazing" i realised i was talking to my unconciouss mate but either way she'd impressed everyone here in a matter of seconds.

I carried her back up to my bed and laid her down with a bucket beside the bed since i'd heard stories of this, it has side effects. I held her hand as i sat beside her and rubbed her hair back slowly, examining the faces she made while she slept.

I had to admit i was blessed to have such a caring and kind mate aswell as a gorgeous one. I noticed that she had a nose bleed which made me sighe as i quickly ran and got a wet cloth, wiping the mud and blood from her face.

Sapphire's P.O.V

I felt myself being carried in a set of strong arms which instantly made me feel safe because i knew they were my mate's arms. I felt the gentle caress on my head and then the cold cloth on my face.

I started to slowly open my eyes and look up at my mate.
"What happened? I saw him going to kill you then everything went dark"

"You protected the pack, Luna's can grow a bond to the pack then use it's bloodline to grant the pack a helpfull power" he states softly as he wiped my head.

"So what did i do then?" I asked, getting more curious to my new power and what i could do.

"Enemies to the pack got knocked back and all pack members got a large adrenaline rush, you are definately our Luna Sapphire" he smiled and kissed my head softly which made me blush.

I laid back on the bed and got comfy but it was quickly interrupted by me keeling over and throwing up into a bucket beside the bed. I groaned as i laid back and looked at him with a sickly expression.

"I'm dying, put me down like a rabid dog" i joke and over dramatise my illness.

"You're not getting put down" he leaned closer and i felt my teperature raise as he looked at me lustfully, my chest raising and falling deeply.

I couldn't control myself under his gaze, it felt like i was burning up as i gripped the sheets and gulped.

He just smirked and pulled back.
"You are so into me, my stare alone makes you aroused"

I blush and try to talk but nothing comes out except a needy whine.
"Shut up, jerk" i pout.

"You're cute mate but not today, neither of us are ready to go that far so fast" he whispered softly and i felt all the heat dissapear.

"What if i am ready?" I ask while bitting my lip at the thought.

"You aren't, not yet anyway but soon maybe" he nods and looks away.

"O-Okay, thank you" i whisper and smile.

My day went from watching my mate and father fighting, almost to the death, to trying to make sure my mate didn't know how badly that one stare aroused me. I had no idea how but the man in front of me was so powerful, mysterious and scary yet so soft and gentle, it made me wonder what it's like to be him.
