Bennets P.O.V

I run around the corner to see my pack and Ash stood there talking to her father but as he sees me his face turns to anger and pain, I pass her to him before I enter the house I put on the shorts Ash grabbed for me.

I follow him upstairs and into what I assume is her room and then his wife comes in and she bursts into tears seeing the blood and bruises on her daughter's frail body. As her mother shakes her lightly I see it, there's a mark on her neck, I lose control and put my fist through the door.

"Hey calm down, what's the matter she's breathing it'll be ok" her father looks at me shaken and I realise he hasn't seen it yet.

"Look at her neck" I watch as he does and his face contorts into anger and then he looks at me

"She was marked by a rogue, was he her mate" He asked as he looked at me with a piercingly angry expression but it also showed pain.

You see if we meet our mate but get marked by someone else then our wolf slowly dies, we can't shift and we feel every moment of the pain until eventually, we die. In some rare cases, their true mate will die too. There is a cure to the mark and it's being marked by your true mate but if I do this I'd have to accept her. I don't want that pain but she's hurt and I already care for her.

Her mother stands and looks at me "How do you know he wasn't her mate? who are you? no offence since you saved our daughter but i'd like to know" i look into her eyes and i realise i have to tell them the truth about myself.

"I am Alpha Bennet Rage of the Rage pack and I am your daughters' true mate that's how I know" I watch as their faces show multiple emotions pain, anger, acceptance and then he approaches me.

"I don't like what I've heard about you but you can save our daughter so please I'm begging you" I look at him and call a few members of the pack up.

"Sir, Ma'am, this is gonna hurt her alot and its gonna kill me to be the one to cause her pain but i need you outside so you can't stop me, my people will make sure you don't disturb me" i gesture and the pack take them outside.

After they leave I look at her almost lifeless body, tears stream down my face as I realise I caused this by leaving her alone, if I'd taken her into my arms like I wanted to she wouldn't have been attacked.

I walk up to her and I bare my canines but before I bite her neck I whisper in her ear a little 'I'm sorry' then I slowly sink my teeth into that disgusting mark, I feel a power surge through me and my senses become heightened, then it happens the ache in my gut as she starts to scream out for help and to my surprise she calls out for me.

I stand up after I finished marking her. I wipe her neck cleaning the blood then I cover up my mark and her parents run in to us. They say their thank you and I leave. I go to my pack and tell Ash to take everyone home.

"What are you gonna do alpha" He looks at me with a few tears in his eyes, I can tell he cares for her as well.

"I'm staying with her until she wakes, Ash you're in charge until she's fully recovered" I walk over and grab his shoulder.
"Don't call me alpha your basically my brother" I smile at him, the truth was he was my brother, maybe not by blood but my brother never the less.

I walk into the house again, then back to her room and look at her father.
"Sir, I know you don't like me but please let me stay here with her till she wakes" I look into his eye and he nods. I sit on a chair next to her bed, not long later her parents' go to bed and I just sit there watching her sleep.

Sapphire P.O.V

I have these nightmares of being attacked and as I lay there almost dead I see this big wolf, he looks so powerful and my wolf howls in joy as she sees him. He rips my attackers apart and turns back to look at me, I can't see his face in the dark but he carries me bridal style. Towards the end, I feel like the world is just drifting away and then I feel this agonising pain and I can't help but call for help and I call for the one person I really want, I call for Bennet.

I sit up straight looking around in my room and I see it's empty, I guess it was just a dream and Friday never happened. My mum walks in with tears in her eyes "Oh thank god you're awake" she hugs me almost crushing me and then I realise it wasn't a dream it actually happened.

We talk for a little bit and she explains that the pack saved me but she wouldn't tell me who exactly it was that saved me and then I hear the shower.

"Mum if dad's at work who's in the shower" I couldn't help but look puzzled by this turn of events.

"The person who saved you, he hasn't left your side for days" she looks at me and I can see she's concerned which means that whoever it was she doesn't really like them but that could be anyone. She leaves explaining that she has to tell dad that I'm ok and to make sure the person who saved me is dressed before they come in.

I sat there for what felt like an eternity waiting for whoever saved me to show themself to me. I was getting impatient but as I started to get up I heard footsteps and I smelt the exact same thing from the party and I questioned my sanity.

"No, it can't be" I say to myself as he walks into the room his brown hair in a mess still wet with water dripping down his abs.

"B-Bennet?" I look up into his deep brown eyes, I can tell I have a shocked look on my face.

"Y-Ye, I know it's a surprise but I felt you in pain and I had to save my mate" he walks up to me and pulls me into a tight embrace.

He said it, he called us his mate, my wolf howled in joy and I just laid my head on his neck and hugged him tightly.
"Never leave me like that again" I cry into his neck and I hear his deep voice reply.

"I won't, your mine now"
