~Mia
As I wake up, my head pounds and I struggle to sit upright. I massage my temples as the memories from last night pour through my head. I feel sick.
Images of what happened between Lucas and I, have my stomach turning and I struggle to make it to the bathroom before I puke everywhere.
Those darn drugs.
I wipe my mouth and try my best to clean up Marcus' bathroom. I'm never going to another party ever again.
I cautiously walk into the hallway, deliberately turning the opposite way to the staircase. I'm going to explore this house if it's the last thing I do.
Decorating the long hallways are old family photos, I stop at one and can immediately figure out which brother is which.
The photo is of the three brothers with their parents, they are sitting on the left with a young Dylan on his mother's lap while Marcus and Jasper stand next to their father.
I smile softly at the picture and continue down the hall. After a while I come to a door with a sign saying 'do not enter' in big red words on the front.
I reach for the doorknob and start to turn it before a large hand grabs hold of my arm,
'What do you think you're doing?' A gruff voice sounds from behind me.
I slowly turn to face... Jasper? Am I dreaming? Isn't he supposed to be dead or something?
I gape at him, 'but you were missing, I don't understand-'
'Well I'm back now. And this is my room.' He cuts me off, his eyes cold.
I stop myself from shaking, 'oh.. right.' I saw awkwardly.
'So you can't come in here. Ever.' He finishes and raises an eyebrow.
'Okay.' I shrug and raise my eyebrows back at him, I honestly don't care if this jerk doesn't like me
He shrugs, 'so move out of my way then' he says, a little more threatening than before.
I slide out of the way so as not to anger him, this guy gets terrifying when he's angry and I'm really not feeling it today.
Jasper walks into his room and slams the door behind him, not even looking at me. I stand there in slight shock before deciding to go and find Marcus so I can thank him for last night.
As I reach the top of the stairs, I see him at the bottom, he sees me at the same time and smiles softly.
I walk down the stairs and immediately pull him into a hug, 'thank you' I murmur into his shoulder.
'It's okay, don't worry about it' he replies and hugs me back slightly, 'I'm so sorry about how I treated you, I was an asshole.'
I pull back and look at him, 'I'm not mad about that anymore.' I admit and he nods sympathetically,
'I guess I just didn't want to admit the truth to myself, or to you.' He says and sighs.
I raise one eyebrow slightly, 'and what's the truth then?'
He sighs and shakes his head 'it doesn't matter now.'
I frown at him, 'yes it does.' I let go of his jacket and step back.
'No, it really doesn't, Mia' he says more sternly and I scoff, my anger starting the boil inside of me,
'Yes it does fucking matter, Marcus! You treated me like shit and now you're trying to hide the truth from me?! When will you ever change?!' I clench my fists and breathe heavily,
'The truth is that I love you!' Marcus says loudly before stopping himself.
I feel like my heart is about to fall out of my butt.
Did he just say what I think he just said?
No way.
Marcus stares at me with an expression of pure mortification smeared on his face.
My legs act before my brain tells them to, one second I'm standing in front of him, the next my lips are crashing against his and my arms are flinging around his neck.
Marcus responds instantly by pulling my into him by my waist, the kiss is heated and full of passion. His lips mould perfectly with mine and everything else around us fades away.
Marcus deepens the kiss and I move my hands to his hair, running my fingers through the soft brown threads.
Our moment of pure bliss is broken by a loud noise that sounds something like a cat being strangled, I immediately pull away from Marcus and turn to look at the commotion.
Dylan stands in front of us looking as if he'd just seen a ghost, I yank my hands away from Marcus and blush.
Marcus, on the other hand glares at his younger brother, 'seriously?! Go play with your power rangers or something.' He groans.
Dylan rolls his eyes 'shut up.' He quickly walks up the stairs and out of view.
I gulp and turn back to face Marcus, smiling awkwardly, 'Well...' I trail off, unsure as for what to say.
'What was that for?' Marcus asks and tilts his head a little.
'What was what for?' I try to act dumb but I know exactly what he's talking about.
'You know what.' He says shorty and I sigh.
I look Marcus in the eye and take a deep breath, 'do you really love me?' I ask him sincerely, not once breaking eye contact with him.
Marcus pauses for a second before nodding, '...yes'
I bite back a smile as my heart melts into a puddle, 'then I love you too, and I always have.' I admit.
He looks stunned, 'Wait, really?' He asks, as if in a dream.
'Yes, really.' I playfully roll my eyes, 'now stop gawping before I change my mind.'
Marcus takes my hand and kisses me again, but more softly.
I smile into the kiss, enjoying it before he pulls away after a few short seconds.
'I'm either dreaming, or this is the happiest day of my life' He says and I laugh.
I never, ever thought for one second that this would be the outcome of falling for Marcus Lockwood.
