Jordi Whitworth One Shot

My head was spinning and I could not focus on anything for more than a few seconds. Everyone around me was in doubles and I couldn’t feel the ground underneath my feet. Everything I heard and spoke seemed hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing and trying to keep balance.

“Come on, Kristen, we need to get you home now.” He spoke, but I didn’t seem to want to leave.

“No, no, I can handle it! I swear!” I managed to say.

Wow, why would they build two benches so close to each other? Seriously who thought of this?

“Nope, you have had enough.” He continued.

Though he was telling the truth; I didn’t want to admit it to him. I was having too much fun to leave now.

“Just one more time, please.” I urged.

Everything was becoming less vague and I was starting to be able to gain feeling. It had been such a long time since I had so much fun at a carnival that I had forgotten what cotton candy and spin rides could do.

We were reliving our first date.

It was the best second first date I had ever had and I wanted to take advantage of the moment. I knew Jordi was a little over protective of my well-being, but I just wanted to enjoy myself and loosen up a bit.

“Stop ruining the fun and get up! I’m all better now.” I tugged his arm, urging him to get up from the bench. “the tea cups are riding next let’s go!” I pulled on his sleeve more and dragged him to the line.

“I swear, Kristen, if you ruin my sweater…” he started.

“Do not! You will not do anything to me and you know it.” I cut him off.

This was going to be the third time we rod on the tea cups and each time I tried to spin us faster.

“You’re so going to regret this.” He said one last time.

“Oh shush, you said that last two times and yet here we are again!” I laughed and he just chuckled along.

Literally, he is the best. Each time I wanted to go on a ride he would never say no. I’m sure he was scared of a few, but what boy would admit to being scared?

The ride started again and I began my task to spin us.

Jordi’s face each time was priceless. I would focus on him and try my best to not go dizzy, but I knew that at the end of the ride I wouldn’t be able to walk straight. Everything else behind him was a complete blur; I couldn’t distinguish anything. I kept spinning and spinning until I felt my arms go numb. Then I just simply let go and let my head spin along with everything else. This is the best high I could ever go on.

He was right. I was regretting this. Again, I couldn’t feel the ground and I felt like all the candy I had previously ate was going to come out any second.

“I told you.” He said, but I couldn’t respond. I had no energy. We managed to make our way to the same benches. I think there were three of them now.

After a few minutes I composed myself.

“This is the best second first date ever.” I whispered.

“Yeah, it really is.” He agreed.

I was tired and sweat was running down my face, but I didn’t care. My cute outfit was no longer presentable, but I didn’t care. His perfect hair was drenched in his own sweat, but I still didn’t care.

We just had the best time ever and nothing could ruin it.
