I bet I was more nervous than he was. My hands were shaking and I was dripping cold sweat. I couldn’t be any more excited ever in my life. People around us were rushing trying to everything ready before everything started. Some were carrying cords other were managing that everything was all right.

But all I was making sure that was perfect was Jordi. He stood in front of me and for the first time I didn’t know how he was feeling. I was hoping that his excitement suppressed his nerves.

“Do you need anything?” I asked him again for the hundredth time.

“Nope, I have my water, ear piece, and mic all ready.” He doubled checked each.

He had finally made it. This was their first gig as artist. Overload had made it big everywhere. There wasn’t a place in the world that Overload was not mentioned in and just behind the curtain there were hundreds of girls screaming for them.

“Good. I’m so proud of you.” I whispered. There were a few tears about to drop to my cheeks. It was all that Jordi had talked about for years. This was their dream gig. This was their dream and now it was reality. Here we were all ready to let them begin their journey to stardom.

“Please don’t cry, Brooklyn. You’ll make me cry.” He put his mic down and wiped my tears away with his thumb.

“I know, I’m so sorry. I just can’t believe that you made it.” I tried my best to smile.

“No, I didn’t make it, baby, Overload made it!” he yelled out. The rest of boys joined in as they hugged all together.

I stepped aside and watched them smash their first performance. All those girls that were there to always support them. It was because of those girls that Overload was so well known. So, I sat down on a seat watching from the side stage. Jordi was so vivid and amazing. He was perfect.

I will never forget tonight. I will never forget the day I was with him making his dream reality.
