"Bungalows, bungalows everywhere."

"Don't forget duplexes. They're also threatening to takeover the dome." Vex kindly adds onto Ryder's statement.

"If I knew you were going to just critic the living conditions of my hometown, I would have came here on my own." Both lycans whip their heads in my direction to give me a glum look. In response, I cross my arms over my chest, regretting the fact that I allowed Nat and Kenny to convince me to wear black attire because it made us all look like bad ass spies.

Now, being inside the warm climate of the dome and standing in a thick black turtle neck, I am overwhelmed by the urge to bolt to the nearest air conditioned building. I don't care if I get weird looks, I'm sweating up an ocean here, standing in the clear view of the ceiling of the dome that is actually a large heater.

It's crazy how it's summer all year round inside here while it's blistering winter outside the dome.

"Sweetheart, this is probably the first time a lycan has set foot in here. I think Ryder and I are allowed to react this way." Vex defends.

"Besides, I'm pretty sure anyone from the outside would react the same way as us if they witnessed this." Ryder points out, not helping me in this situation.

"What did you guys expect to see? Huts?" I ask them, annoyed but at the same time genuinely curious.

"And caveman savages." Vex adds. I can only roll my eyes and begin walking down the road in the direction of the orphanage. I want to get Hunter and leave as fast as possible. The fact that we didn't encounter any guards during our entrance into the dome makes me wary. I don't want to stick around and see if my horrible gut feeling will come true.

I guess it's lucky for us that we entered the part of the dome that is located closest to the dome. All we had to do was walk through a chunk of the surrounding forest and in less than ten minutes, we entered the humble community of the Hamptons.

Apparently, when the dome was under construction, the names of communities and famous streets of the world before the Revelation  were used for the communities and streets in the dome. Since this is the only dome in North America, it is the reason why the center of our town is called Times Square. Overall the town doesn't necessarily have a name. The north half is titled as Canada while the middle is called United states and south is Mexico.

Apparently it's supposed to make us feel as though we are living back during the rule of humans when large masses of land in this continent were separated into countries. Personally, having experienced the outside world, I would probably have lived in Canada back in the day. The beauty of winter captivates me.

"Definitely expected savages. It's what we were thought on the outside." Ryder smirks while eyeing an elderly man walking his rottweiler down the street.

"Well here, on the inside, we were thought that lycans are a monstrous environmental accident caused from human pollution who are unable to process a simple thought." I bark back, leaving no room for remorse.

Vex immediately walks towards me, "woe there sweetheart, we didn't mean to offend you. We are just expressing our shock at seeing all this."

The anger I had focused on Ryder and Vex instantly disintegrated the moment I set eyes on Vex's warm face that is currently giving me a welcoming smile. I try so hard not to get sucked into the glacier lake that is his eyes but fail miserably.

I want to reach out and hug him, refusing to ever let him go. I want to ask him if he holds mutual feelings to me as I to him.

I want to be his but he cannot be mine.
