~Part Two~

Kennywood

Vex Anthony-Louis Hunter Jade-Jordan Alphics is a jackass.

Correction: he's the biggest jackass I have ever met and gotten the chance to know.

I'm also pretty proud of myself that I finally remembered Vex's full name after knowing him for six years but that's beside the point.

I met Vex in physical education, also known as gym class, in ninth grade. I always knew he existed because I was taught at a young age who the Royal family of the Lycans were. I knew for two years that he and I went to the same junior high for elite Lycan families, I just never bothered to try to get close to the Prince because I didn't want to waste my time. Why would I get involved in the world of all things spoiled and corrupted?

I wanted to enjoy my junior high life drama free. It was bad enough that my body was going through the dreaded puberty. Especially for Lycans because that is the time where our bodies mature to full capacity, allowing us to transition to our wolfs for the first time. Essentially, I had a lot on my mind and for over two years, I did a pretty good job avoiding the popular life of Prince Vex.

We never crossed paths until that one unfaithful day in ninth grade when I smack him hard on the face with a dodge ball.

The Prince fell backwards from the force, the entire class came to his aid before giving me the look that said 'I'm screwed'. The coach immediately sent me to the Principles office.

I knew what was coming as I slowly made my way to the main office of the Academy. I took my time getting to my dreaded destination, taking hold of distractions like water fountains or vending machines when I got the opportunity in order to prolong my freedom. I knew that the moment I'd walk through the doors into the front office, my peaceful life at this school would be over.

What I didn't expect when I walked into the office was to see the Royal Prince, with a slightly faded bruised nose, talking to the Principal. The old lady listened intently as Vex explained to her that the whole dodge ball drama was just an accident.

I ruined that whole moment by yelling out, "am I dreaming?!" The principal gave me a warning glare while Vex just grinned.

From that point on, the two of us were inseparable. We played multiple pranks in the palace alongside Vex's childhood best friend, Nathena. We wasted hours upon hours gaming. It was our everyday goal to make life worth wild and the three of us did just that.

Being friends with Vex, I got to see his ups and downs for the last six years.

Vex can be a great guy when he wants to be.

He'll do anything for those closest to him.

He'll give out a helping hand without expecting anything in return.

He's a great listener, giving someone his full attention as they explain to him their problems.

He loves to volunteer, helping his kingdom as best as he can for being 'just a Prince' as he puts it.

Hanging out with Vex showed me the side of him I didn't even know existed. It made me feel guilty for judging him based upon his statud and wealth.

Then Vex had his eighteenth birthday and everything went downhill from there.

He became inconsiderate of those around him.

He constantly complained about the 'horrible', wealthy life of a Prince.

He treated the opposite gender like toys, once he got bored with them, which is quite quickly, he got a new one. Essentially, he mastered the technique of hump and dump.
