The Ball

When Christmas day arrived you were awoken up by Lilly who threw her pillow at you. "Can't you wake up any earlier?" You sat up to see that Lilly had already unwrapped half her presents while Jasmine had clearly waited for you to wake up. "Do you keep rocks in your pillow Lilly?" You mumbled as you got out of bed and sat in between your two friends, in front of you were presents from Lilly and Jasmine's parents. "Were else can I store my rocks." Lilly rolled her eyes and continued to unwrap her presents.

You grabbed the first wrapped present which was clearly a broomstick, looking at both Lilly and Jasmine's piles you could tell they also received broomsticks. "I think dad wants us to try and play Quidditch." Jasmine moved the broomstick to the side the complete opposite of Lilly who turned to you with a big smile. "{Y/N} we are going to try out for Quidditch." Lilly stated leaving no room for you to decline, with a roll of your eyes you simply answered with a "Sure." and continued to open your presents. The other presents you received was a large box of  (Favourite Harry Potter Candy), the Wizards Chess game set, The Tales Of Beedle The Bard which Jasmine had given to you and a spell book for jinxes/hexes which Lilly gave you. After the twins and yourself had changed you headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. You sat down next to Draco before Lilly raced over and sat next to you only just beating Jasmine, who only rolled her eyes at her sisters childish antics as she took a seat next to Lilly.

"{Y/N}, I got you something." You looked at Draco as he held out a small box neatly wrapped in (f/c) paper, a silk ribbon was tied into a perfect bow at the top of the box. You opened the box carefully and took out a delicate looking necklace, hanging from the silver chain was a heart decorated with small (f/c) diamonds. "Thank you, Draco." You were a little worried about how much the necklace must of cost, you allowed Draco to take it from your hands and place it around your neck. Suddenly Lilly nudged you as she stood up. "Jasmine wants to do some homework." Lilly rolled her eyes. "Usually that means we are forced to do it to {Y/N}." You stood up at the same time as Draco making you feel less upset about leaving him. As your group headed towards the entrance you heard Ron asking Hermione about her date to the ball. "You're joking, Weasley?" You looked at Draco who was listening in to their conversation. "You're not telling me someone's asked that to the ball? Not the long-molared Mudblood?" Both Harry and Ron turned around.

"Hello, Professor Moody!" Hermione called waving to somebody behind Draco, you crossed your arms as you knew that Moody was still at the table eating. "Twitchy little ferret, aren't you, Malfoy?" You pointed your wand at Hermione as Harry, Ron and herself started walking away, as Hermione took enough step she suddenly tripped over nothing, satisfied you put your wand away and walked back to the Slytherin Dungeon. "So, {Y/N}, you've already read some of the book I gave you?" Lilly looked at you with a big smile, you had only managed to the read about the Trip Jinx which was why you used it on Hermione. "I've only read a page, Lilly." You shrugged as you entered the Slytherin common room where Jasmine hurried away to grab her homework.

After what felt like hours of doing homework Lilly convinced Jasmine to take a break in order for the three of you to get some food. Once you were in the Great Hall you saw the tables lined with Turkeys, Christmas puddings and piles of Cribbages Wizarding Crackers. "There is so much Turkey." Lilly sat down and looked at the food. "There has to be at least a thousand!" Lilly started eating as Jasmine rolled her eyes. Once Lilly, Jasmine and yourself had finished eating you all went outside and towards the Forbidden Forest, you weren't going to enter the woods but you didn't want to be seen by anyone when you changed into your Animagus forms. The three of you morphed with Lilly being the only one without wings staying on the ground, Jasmine and yourself soared through the air. Eventually Lilly let out a howl causing Jasmine and you to fly back to the ground and change back. "It would be weird if they saw a Phoenix flying around." Lilly said quietly as she pointed to where Harry, Ron, Fred, George, Harley and Navy were having a snowball fight. "Maybe we should go and get ready for the ball." Jasmine started making her way back to the castle with Lilly and yourself trailing behind her.
