You were waiting outside of the Great Hall with Lilly and Jasmine, the three of you were waiting for Harley. Looking back into the Great Hall you witnessed the wavy brown haired female kissing who you guessed was Fred Weasley. "Hmph, we could of found her someone better." Lilly crossed her arms, from what you understood the last prank Lilly tried backfired. "Oh, be quiet, Lilly." Jasmine lightly slapped her twin. After five more minutes Harley finally walked out of the Great Hall, she sent you an awkward smile before proceeding to walk with you and the quietly arguing twins.

As you and friends made your way down the large lawn towards where the next task was you saw that the seats which once enclosure the dragon arena was now set up on the bank of the lake. You noticed that Lilly and Jasmine had already separated to stand with their dates from the Yule ball. "You going to head over to the Weasleys?" Harley looked towards were Fred and George were, you could hear them calling out something about bets. "I think I'll be safer with you and Malfoy." You rolled your eyes with a small smile as you walked towards where Draco and his followers were. "{Y/N}, have you noticed that both Hermione and Ron aren't here?" Harley whispered to you as you stood next to Draco, furrowing your eyebrows you looked over the crowd. "Cho Chang isn't in the crowd either. She's the only one missing from Cedric's fan club." Harley stared over at the group before nodding.

"Well, all our champions are ready for the second task, which will start on my whistle. They have precisely an hour to recover what has been taken from them. On the count of three, then. One... Two... Three." Bagman's voice sounded from across the water, once his little speech was finished a shrill echo sounded. You joined in with the cheers and applause as the champions dived in, well, all the champions except Harry. Harry was taking off his shoes and socks before putting a handful of gillyweed into his mouth before slowly walking into the water.

You looked at Harley as people stared laughing, Harley rolled her eyes as she watched Harry stand in the water. As the laughter grew louder students were standing to call out, quickly Harley grabbed your arm and pointed at Harry. "Gills. He's grown the gills, he can finally start." Sure enough Harry dived down into the water. You watched the still water waiting for something interesting to happen. Not long after Fleur was helped out of the water, she was very hysterical. "I don't think she made it." You and Harley said in unison, which caused her to laugh and you to roll your eyes.

The first champion to emerge was Cedric who was helping Cho. After Cedric Krum emerged his shark head changing back to normal as he and Hermione headed back to the shore. "It's just Harry now." Harley watched the water. "He's probably trying to be a hero, Fleur didn't get to her person so no doubt Harry is trying to save two people." Harley quickly agreed, finally Harry emerged with a young girl and Ron. You watched as wild, green haired heads raised out of the water with Harry, you watched as they got as close to the shore as they could and the leader seemed to speak with Dumbledore. You knew he was out of the time limit of an hour.

Once the champions and the ones they saved were wrapped in blankets Bagman's voice once again sounded. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached our decision. Merchieftainess Murcus has told us exactly what happened at the bottom of the lake, and we have therefore decided to award marks out of fifty for each of the champions, as follows," Everyone in the stands around you were silent as they awaited the scores. "Fleur Delacour, through she demonstrated excellent use of the bubble-head charm, was attacked by grindylows as she approached her goal and failed to retrieve her hostage. We award her twenty five points." You clapped along with the crowd.

"Cedric Diggory, who also used the bubble-head charm, was first to return with his hostage, though he returned one minute outside the time limit of an hour. We award him forty seven points." The Hufflepuff students erupted into loud cheers completely drowning out everyone else's cheers. "Viktor Krum used an incomplete form of transfiguration, which was effective nevertheless and was second to return with his hostage. We award him forty points." You clapped but could mentally feel how hard Karkaroff was clapping just by looking at his superior expression. "Harry Potter used gillyweed to great effect. He was last to return and well outside the time limit of an hour. However, the Merchieftainess informs us that Mr Potter was first to reach hostages and that delay in his return was due to his determination to return all hostages to safety, not merely his own." You continued to watch the judges, Karkaroff in particular didn't seem pleased.
