A month passed quickly with almost complete peace. However, almost every night Jeff would leave the house and come back at the crack of dawn drenched in blood. I've been with him for over two months now, and each day he seemed to be just as how he did when we first met. Distant and vicious.

It was now August 14. Today, Jeff wanted to go to town, my first time going out in public since I was six (when I started home school). Honestly, I was shocked, for I never imaged Jeff wanted to be in public places. I must really not know him.

"Hurry, girls take so long."

"It's been two minutes! And I said you can start walking, I know my way!" I shouted from the upstairs bathroom, and he was by the door.

A long silence resonated in the humid air in the house, then he finally said: "Hurry up."

"Ughhhh!" I groaned while starting to brush my teeth.

After brushing my teeth I started to brush my hair, when two arms wrapped around my waist. Before I knew it, my body was over his shoulder and he was running down the stairs.

"I wasn't done!" I said with frustration while punching his back and flailing my legs.

"Stop moving or I will cut off all of your limbs and drowned you."

I stopped moving for a second, then started moving again and hitting harder.

"You wouldn't dare." I taunted.

"Oh yeah?"

"You don't scare me in the slightest-" I lied.

Just as we were approaching the front door, be softly threw my body over and off his shoulder then onto the couch, holding his knife to my upper thigh.

I knew he was trying to scare me, but I blushed. His face was inches away from mine, so close that I could feel his warm breath upon my cheek, and was tickled by his long, greasy but beautiful hair.

"Believe me now?" He whispered in my ear while biting it, drawing blood.

Shivers crossed my body and my cheeks were pools of red.

It felt good.

I placed my palms on his hoodie-covered chest and pushed away a little.

"S-stop..." I said blushing.

He grinned evilly then started laughing at me and squeezing my cheeks.

"A girl turning me down?! How cute." He laughed then got off me, holding out his hand to help me up. I took it and smiled.

After an hour and a half of walking, we made it to town. Because it was Sunday, people were swarming everywhere, meaning Jeff had to keep his hood on at all times. I made him wear a black hoodie that had been to long for me so he wouldn't be as recognizable. But even his aora was completely and utterly eerie.

"Jeff!" I shouted, scaring the living hell out if him.

"What the hell?" His voice shook with rage. "You almost gave me a heart attack! Are you trying to kill me?!" He continued.

I frowned, but it quickly transformed into a smile as I began laughing at him and the fact that I just scared Jeff the Killer.

I grabbed his hand and dragged him to a store called 'Chocolates Ice Cream & Pastries' while skipping.

"Slow down child, you don't need anymore energy..." He grunted under his breath but didn't pull his hand away.

As we opened the door, a quiet bell rung from behind the table in the back of the store where the clerk was supposed to be standing, but the place was completely silent and frigid.

"I have a bad feeling about this store." Jeff said while putting his arm around my waist and held me close. I wanted to pin him to a wall and kiss him with how happy this made me, but I was confused.

"For god's sake Jeff, were in a damn candy store. Geez..." I mumbled and started to walk to the numerous tubs of chocolate on the right wall of the small building that was secluded from the others.

"In what right mind would a mother take her children to such a creepy place?! No wonder no ones here besides us, and even I don't want to be here."

I laughed, that was pretty funny, but stopped myself as a small old man walked out of a door, which I supposed was a storage closet, and gave a flimsy smile towards him.

He was smiling, but it seemed completely forced, and his hands were placed firmly in his jean pockets.

Jeff pulled me close to him and started to walk out towards to the front door.

"Jeff!" I whispered and pulled away from him. "That's rude!"

"What would you , kids, like today?" He said with false enthusiasm.

Jeff returned to my side and once again tried to pull me out the door that we had entered moments before. I flicked his hand away swiftly and pointed to the jar in front of me that was filled with Reese's pieces and said "Id like five dollars worth of these, please."

I could tell Jeff was gawking behind me.

"Five dollars gets you a pound of those damned candies!" he shouted.

"Jeff! Don't be rude!" I giggled but frowned, trying not to seem intimidating to the old man.

"It's on the house, since you seem like such a sweet, loving, couple." His eyes twitched.

Something about the way he talked did bother me, like how he enfasized "kids" and "loving", but I didn't want to seem rude.

"T-thank you" I giggled, buyer obviously sounded like a scared little kid.

"After a few moments he left to the back room and retuned with a large bag of candy. Why did he not just use the ones in the jar beside me? Maybe they were just for display... I brushed off my concern and politely took the bag and thanked him before Jeff grasped my hand and pulled me out of the store, returning to the late summer heat.

"That candy is drugged." He took the bag and was about to throw it into a trash can before I stopped him.

Although I was suspicious, I wanted the darn candy.

I yanked it back and smacked his hand hardly.

"I-I'm sorry... I just really want this!"

"Amelia you don't under-" he began, but I started to eat the candy by handfuls.

"See, I'm still standing!!" I smiled and linked arms with him, continuing to walk away from the store and to other stores.

As minutes passed, I started to grow a raging headache, which caused me to stop walking many time, but acted as if it were nothing when Jeff would question me.

My hearing started fading and my vision began to blur.

Frightened, and tried to call Jeff's name, but my throat was dry and my tongue was limp. I clenched my throat, trying to breath, but air seemed to have disappeared, until finally, everything began black.
