I pulled out a black Metallica distressed cropped top, black shorts, and black Walmart brand tennis shoes. I quickly went to the bathroom and washed my face, throwing my hair in a ponytail, looked at a wall to clear my head, took a deep breath, then went back downstairs. Carl was still downstairs, my uncle had a grip on his shirt with one hand and standing between Tye and him. "Whats going on?" I walked over to them. "Carl punched Tye the second I stepped away to check on the crying girls." My uncle informed me.
"Keep ahold of the cheater. We're going to get breakfast." I told my uncle, took Tye's wrist in my hands not looking at Carl whatsoever. "I'll send him home." my uncle shouted the moment we stepped out the door. "thanks. love ya!" Then hopped back into the jeep. "We don't have to go to Patsy's if you don't want to run into the guys," Tye informed me, pulling away from the house. "I appreciate it but I like Patsy's." I smiled at him as he drove to Patsy's. I gave him directions. I looked out the window, as we passed where Carl and I ran together. The gym where I kicked his ass in literally everything. We were happy together. It makes no sense.
"wow, vintage." He chuckled and got out of the car. I nodded. "Been around for a really long time, so I've heard." He held the door open for me. V was talking to Fiona as they both waited tables. I could tell by their facial expressions, it was about Carl. "Tye!" The frat booth shouted. it was a corner booth so a lot of people can sit. "Don't worry we are not sitting with them." I shook my head at Tye. "No, it's fine. we can sit behind them if you'd like?" He looked over at the frat guys and shook his head. He put his hand on my upper back and pointed to a booth on the opposite side of the room. We walked over and sat. It only took a minute for Fiona to walk over to us. She looked at Tye and gave him a tight smile. "Delilah, can I talk to you a second?" I gave an apologetic look over to Tye and stood from the red booth. we walked into the kitchen and she hugged me. throwing me off guard.
"What the fuck has gotten into him?" She asked rhetorically shaking her head. I shrugged. I really didn't know the answer. I wish I did. it would solve so much. "He's acting like being drunk makes it okay. what happened to my mother too. he's brave." I sighed, crossing my arms and shaking my head to the point I could feel my ponytail bouncing. "Maybe I can talk to him. I mean, he's my brother and I'm supposed to be on his side but... what he is doing is not okay." the bell rang at the front door, announcing another customer came in. "It's fine. I think it has to be done. at least... for a little while. Fiona can I be honest with you?" she nodded scrunching her perfectly shaped brows. I took a deep breath, not making eye contact. "He is the first guy I've been with that I've had feelings for. before it was all pity or because I was bored. Him? it's different. Normally I wouldn't feel hurt. I've been cheated on once before and I didn't mind. I said if that he liked the girl go date her. it was fine. Now? I feel like running back into his arms. Crying, but with him while it is over him. I want to kill him, but cant is without him." She put a hand on my shoulder comfortingly, looked me in the eyes, then hugged me again.
"I think you guys need to take a break from each other. I mean come on he got someone killed thinking he was protecting you. Maybe, well you're already working on it, seeing other people. So when you do, if you do, find your way into wanting to be with him again, it won't be so... well, it won't be to the point you'd kill for each other. Save that for marriage." She winked and smiled. I rolled my eyes jokingly. "Smart lady. I think I will. You're right." She looked out from the rectangle cut in the wall that looks into the restaurant from the kitchen. "Ah shit." Fiona pushed passed me opening the door, I followed close behind. I saw Tye and Carl having a staring contest in the booth. Both glaring angrily at each other. "Carl, go home. I'll talk to you later. I'll tell you the same thing I just told Delilah." Fiona put the pen and paper into her apron tied around her waist, covering her shorts.
"I'm cool." Was all he said. "Came here to speak to her, told him I'd wait." I rolled my eyes at him. I took the sleeve of his grey t-shirt, pulling him from the booth. "You. Leave. Now." He smirked at me. "I love it when you get all bossy. You're hot when you're angry." I looked away at the clock on the wall, mentally counting to three and taking a deep breath. I looked back at him. "Whatever. Go home. or help your sister. Or... call the girl from last night and ask her out. Please... just leave me the fuck alone for a while." I met his beautiful eyes to show how sincere I was. I think he realized because his face dropped the smile. "Fine." He looked at the ground, turned around, and went into the kitchen.
"Fiona, this is Tye. Tye, this is my aunts best friend and a close friend of mine." Fiona smiled at Tye, wiped her hands on her light grey tank top, and shook his hand. "Pleasure to meet you." Tye smiled at her. Her eyebrows lifted, eyes widened, and stated the obvious, "wow. nice accent." Tye thanked her. "Well, do you guys know what you want? On the house." Fiona smiled, pulling her pen and pad back out from the black apron. "I haven't gotten a chance to look at the menu and I'll gladly pay." Tye smiled and looked down at the menu. Fiona looked at me and had an impressed expression plastered on her face. She wiggled her brows and asked me if I wanted to order. "Pancakes, eggs, and bacon, with black coffee. I'll pay as well." Tye coughed, looked up at me with a confused expression and laughed. "No, I got both of us." I rolled my eyes and gave Fiona the menu. She smiled widely. "He's a keeper." She whispered behind the menu. Now it was my turn to wiggle my brows. "I'll have the same as her, but bring me a jar of sugar and cream for the coffee please." He smiled and handed the menu over. Fiona smiled at the both of us, "be right back." and she left.

Authors note
if you were to rate this story from 1-10 what would it be? HONESTLY. Anyways, am I the only one who cant eat fluffy eggs and omelets because it makes them sick? Maybe it's just me. I think I'm slightly lactose intolerant. No one believes me when I say it makes me sick either. Mostly because I love ihops steak omelet thing even though it makes me really sick.
