Peeping in through the curtains over the glass window, the early rays of the sun rushed into the room and happily bestowed themselves upon her face. They touched her lips and kissed her eyes and caressed her cheeks adoringly.
She wriggled under her duvet for sometime, until her slumber went for playing hide-n-seek with the mischiveous sunlight.
She sat straight then and rubbed those sunkissed eyes and stretched her limbs while getting down from her divan. Stealthily, she walked towards the huge window of her room and removed the curtains, before opening the glass panes thereby letting the much awaited sunlight flood her entire room.
She giggled as soft breeze blew some of her hair strands over her pretty, little face.Another beautiful morning it was.
"Good morning Nitara." She mumbled to herself.
And the next moment she ran out of the room, wrapping a stole loosely over her petite frame.
She ran towards his room. She knew, however good a morning is, it can't be really beautiful unless she sees his face! The door of his room was already kept ajar. Only for Nitara. And she rushed inside directly, heading straight towards the balcony.
He was there in the balcony indeed, but with his back to her, stroking a thick brush against his canvas.
Nitara smiled. Her eyes sparkled up with mischief."GOOD MORNING DEV." She screamed in his ears.
Had he been somebody else, Nitara's scream would have scared the shits out of him. But here, he was Dev, very much aware of all her tactics and pranks. In short, he was now immuned to them.
He turned towards her and grinned.
-"Good morning Tara." He wished back indifferently. This irked her a little. She was expecting a greater reaction. Maybe something like jumping about like a frog? Or maybe a wrong stroke on the canvas?? But nothing really happened. Like always Dev had got a strong grip over everything. And like always she failed to make him shock.
She gave a pissed off face in reply, which just made him grin a little wider.
-"Umm...what's wrong with your face Tara? Why are there so many creases on it?" Dev asked dramatically, pointing towards her frowns.
"Becoz I'm frowning!" She replied straight with a sad pout.
-"Acha? And why is it so??"
"Becoz you never react to my surprises... I'm sulking at you, Dev!!"
Dev pressed his lips hard, trying to hide the helpless smile which would otherwise have popped any now and then and infuriated Nitara to a greater extent.
However, he chose not be so considerate towards her and planned something else to irritate the poor soul.-"So you are sulking?! Good... ab aise hi sulk karte karte mere liye ek chae bana do please." He nagged with a cute face.
His cuteness didn't work though, Nitara had already been flustered. She cringed her nose and gritted her teeth and stumped her foot angrily.
"Why? Am I your ramukaka? Why will I make tea for you every morning huh?!" She squealed.
-"No, you are not my ramukaka... why will you be my ramukaka haan? You are my ramdulali, Nitara. I thought you know that!" He said as a matter of fact and stared at her with puppy eyes.
This trick worked. His expressions instigated Nitara much more than what his words did. And as a result she stormed out of his room, without even noticing that one of her bunny slippers had slept away from her feet.
