Nitara:

If your are thinking that Dev was really a maniac then you are wrong. He was just being over-protective about me. It was something that seriously pissed me off at times while I used to adore it during the other times.

Dev was bizzare. And so was I.

"We have reached ma'am." The cab driver said as he haulted infront of a multi-storey building. I gave him his payment and stepped out. As per habits, I looked at the 5th storey of that building which was apparently my fashion abode.
My Saiyaraan it was.

As I stepped inside, cold gazes of my colleagues welcomed me along with the cold temperature of the centrally air-conditioned room. I gulped twice and headed for Raima's cabin.

But how could have I proceeded unless I was interrupted? Hell yeah, my question answer round was just about to start and so it did with Shahid.

"Hey, Nitara... what took you so long man? And why dint you appear in today's meeting??" Shahid called from the back. I chucked in annoyance. Shahid had always been a good friend of mine, but right then, I found him equally irritating as his questions.

"You know what? Mam is really angry on you and you need to work really hard to melt her away." Diksha poked inbetween.

Damn! You use too to many 'really'ies!!
I wanted to say but uttered something else.
"I know I am at fault. But I think I am pretty capable of handling it my myself." I said with a cheeky smile.

"Yes, but..." Shahid tried to apply his logics but I hushed him.

"I am already getting late. Now if you please let me go then..."

"Yah. Sure." He moved aside half heartedly.

I rushed inside Raima cabin and chirped in an over excited tone.
"Hey Rai, I'm back."

"Get lost. Quick." She greeted me in a nanosecond. Seemed like she was waiting for this all long.

"Huh? That was rude!!" I blabbed with a sad face and questioned myself- SHE INSULTED ME DAMMIT...and I am still here to patch up with her! Ain't I am the one who should act rude now???

"What is your problem Nitara? Why can't you get things straight? When I said I don't wanna see your face then why are you still here? Why can't you just get lost without arguing??" She barked as she paced along the length of the room.

For a moment I fell like punching her mouth that was blabbering a lot these days. But then I thought I should better focus on what I was there for- feed Raima with daal makkhani and get her temper down. I kept the lunch box upon her table with a dull sound, ensuring her to look at it anyway.

"Now whats that?" She asked, failing to suppress her curiousity.

"Daal makkhani and stuffed kulcha.... I have made them." I raised my virtual collar as I flaunted my cooking skills.
But then I had to notice Raima too. That girl's jaws had almost dropped to the floor.

"You cooked? And Dev gave you that permission? Like seriously??!!!" Her eyes bulged in shock while I gave her a mean look.

"So what if he didn't give any permission? You think I am scared of him??" I smirked at my confidence and she laughed. She laughed for five goddamn minutes before replying-

"You know better that you are a chicken!"

I opened my mouth for saying something but then shut it instantly. Becoz there was simply no point speaking. Raima was right, I was really a chicken who was hell scared of Dev and his orders.
