*Niall's POV*
Oh shit. It's 10 minutes until the last bell and I'm nervous. Liam and I agreed to hang out together after school, but that was before the events of today. What are we gonna do now? It's not like we can just ignore what happened... Can we?
Before I know it, the bell is ringing and I can see Liam walking towards me in the hallway. "Hey, Nialler," he says once he's closer to me. "You still up for hanging out?"
"Of course," I say with a giant grin. Even if the whole situation today has made this slightly awkward and nerve-wracking, I'm still excited to have bonding time with my best mate. And that's what Liam is; he is my best mate.
"So, what shall we do today?" he asks as we head towards the bus. He turns to face me, waiting for an answer.
I look up and stare at the sky in all its beauty while we keep walking, not sure what we should do. "Hmm... Wanna bring over your DS?" I finally ask. We had already talked about having a Pokemon battle someday, so I figured now was as good of a time as any.
"Yeah, I've already got it with me. Do you have anything else in mind?"
We climb the steps to the bus and sit down while in still thinking of an answer. "Uh... Well, I could show you around Mullingar. I mean, you haven't been everywhere yet, right?"
Liam nods slowly. "Actually, come to think of it, you're right! I've been so busy with homework and stuff, I never really took a look around," he tells me. Then he laughs and adds, "Besides, I didn't really want to get to comfortable here at first."
"Why not?" He hates it here. Of course, what else was I expecting? He probably just wants to go back to England.
"Well, I guess I was really just trying to deny the fact that I was gonna be living here. I mean, I grew up in Wolverhampton my whole life, so why should that have to change now?" Liam says. I can tell it's still a topic that bothers him.
"Makes sense! Anyways, I can show you around. I CAN SHOW YOU WHERE ALL THE BEST FOOD IS IN MULLINGAR!" Okay, maybe food excites me. Shut up.

*Liam's POV*
I've never stayed on the bus past my stop before. It felt awkward, but now it's over and I'm sitting at the park with Niall. It's a nice day out, so we're sitting in the swings.
"What was your most embarrassing moment?" Niall asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
"Probably going back home to Wolverhampton after getting kicked off the--no wait." I stop myself and pretend I've changed my mind as a cover story. "I think that day when I broke my wrist was the most embarrassed I've ever felt. What's your favourite food?"
"Anything Nando's, but especially the Peri Peri Chicken! Have you had their Peri Peri Chicken?"
"Wow, uh, no. I don't think I have, actually." Niall punches my shoulder. "Ow! It's not like it's a big deal or anything..."
"Excuse me? Food is always a big deal to me. And Nando's is food Heaven!"
"Okay, okay! If I promise to go to Nando's and try to Peri Peri Chicken will you refrain from punching me?" I ask, rubbing my arm where he hit me.
Niall crosses his arms and huffs at me. "Fine," the blond boy mutters, jumping up from the swings,
