*Louis' POV*
“So, Liam, are you excited for your date with Niall?” I ask the other brunet. Harry, Zayn and I have been planning this date for them since day one as a group, basically. Honestly, we should be thanking Liam and Niall for helping us connect and giving us something to do together while we get to know each other.
Liam stares out the window and purses his lips for a bit before speaking up. “To be completely honest, I'm more nervous than anything. I don't even know what's going to be happening on this date and this whole thing is fairly new to me,” he tells me.
“But you said you two went on a date before,” I point out.
Liam sighs and looks at the floor. “We did, technically, but it wasn't really much of anything. All we did was go out to eat together on the night the judges put us together,” he explains.
I stand up from my seat and move to join Liam on the couch. “So, this is going to be your first real date. What of it? You two will have a blast,” I promise him.
“I know. I just want everything to be perfect, you know?”
I grin. “Trust me, I know exactly what you mean. And believe me, we've planned out a date that you will remember for the rest of your lives.”
“Thanks, Lou.” Liam looks up at me and I can see that he's being sincere right now.
“Don't thank me just yet. Besides, Harry and Zayn helped, too.” I pause for a moment before adding, “Actually, if anything goes wrong, Harry and Zayn planned it all themselves and I just took the credit, so blame them.”
At that, Liam laughs and punches me lightly in the arm. “That's mean! You shouldn't be taking credit for their efforts!”
“Okay, Dad, I'll give them some credit. Maybe I'll even settle with giving them ten percent of the credit!” I exclaim, teasing the younger lad about his father-like personality.
“Ten percent each?”
“Nah, they can share their ten percent of the credit,” I say. "Besides, I'll be there with Harry and Zayn, close enough to make sure that everything runs smoothly. It'll be like a double-and-a-half date!" I get really excited over little things sometimes. That, and I like being the hyper one to distract everyone from whatever is bothering them. Basically, instead of letting their misery spread, I make them laugh because laughter is contagious.
Just as I planned, Liam laughs. I realize that he's looking over my head and something, so I turn around to see Harry making faces at me. "What are you looking at?" he asks, noticing me glaring in his direction.
"A dead man," I seethe as I jump over the back of the couch, chasing the curly-haired boy.
"What did I do to you?" he asks, running to get away from me.
"Oh, as if you don't know!" I follow as he runs up the stairs and catch the door to his room before he can slam it. I push it open, causing Harry to lose balance, falling down and landing on his back. I take advantage of this by sitting on him to pin him down.
"Not fair," Harry mumbles.
"Aww, is Curly upset that he got caught?" I tease. I start laughing maniacally at the younger boy while he pouts.
"You're a meany," whines Harry. "I don't like you anymore."
I pretend to cry as I get off him, running to my room. "You hurt my feelings!" I shout when I hear him knocking on the door.
