About two hours had passed and Shawn and I were leaving the rink and heading towards the car. The cold air stung my face as we walked, snowflakes falling lightly on the ground, causing the already existing ice to be much easier to slip on. More and more cars began to pull into the lot, small children jumping out and running inside, some of them slipping, their friends laughing. A birthday party maybe. From beside me, I could feel Shawn looking at me, a small chuckle escaping his lips. He bumped shoulders with me, gaining my attention.

"What?" I said, laughing slightly as my hair fell in front of my face. Shawn stopped us from walking, looking down at me with a smile. By now, my face was blushing and I mentally thanked my hair for covering half of my face.

"Were you watching those kids?" He said, looking behind me at the children still running inside before back to me.

"Maybe...Why?" He laughed, a small smile forming across his rosy cheeks. By now all the kids were inside and it was just us in the lot.

"I don't know. Just- you looked really cute." He said, brushing my hair that was my saving grace out of my face and behind my ear. My body instantly shivered under his touch. The steam from both our increase in breath filled the space between us.

His hand remained on the side of my neck, his grip getting slightly tighter as he looked back and forth between my eyes. For a moment, his eyes traveled down my face and rested upon my lips. Self consciously I bit them, making Shawn smile bigger before taking his hand from my neck.

"Come on, "He began, placing his hand on the small of my back, ushering me towards the car, "Let's get some food."

Shawn and I drove for quite a while before we ended up at this small little sushi joint. It was cute and trendy. Small neon lights hung from the ceiling, creating a dim ambiance. There were sleek black tables surrounded by light grey booths, the small neon lights handing over them.

"Table for two?" The small lady at the front desk spoke. Shawn nodded before whispering something into her ear. She smirked and nodded before replying. Shawn turned to me and smirked. What did he ask her?

The little lady walked us to the back of the restaurant where it was somewhat more private, and placed us in a corner booth. Of course he asked for a corner booth. Smooth Mendes.

After we ordered our drinks, Shawn began to speak.

"Listen Ads-" he began, sliding slightly closer to me. "I brought you out today because, well, we need to talk about what happened the other day." My heart dropped instantly. Whether it was out of the possible excitement that he would say that we are a 'thing', or the possibility that it was a mistake. I hope and pray to god its not the second one.

"Yeah, I was wondering when we were going to talk about that." I mumbled, playing with my unopened chopsticks, tearing the wrapping slightly. Shawn placed his hand on mine, gaining my attention. His face was unreadable, which scared the shit out of me.

"I don't regret it." He smiled, sending a wave of relief over me. I looked down to the same chopsticks from before, trying to contain my smile. "I could tell you were thinking that." He finished. I faked a scoff.

"Psh, no. I mean, the only thing it would do would make things incredibly uncomfortable between us but, who cares am I right?" I said, a little louder than intended, sending Shawn into a laughing fit. Some other couples near us looked over at the both of us loosing it. Some seemed irritated while others laughed along with us.
