There's a cat in my bed

Ashton's pov-

Flashback-

"I really want to go to that park mamma.Even that pretty hair girl is coming. She has pretty red hair."

Five year old Ashton tucked at his mother's skirt who was busy making ponytails on her daughter's hair.

Ten year old Caroline just looked at her baby brother with her amused expression and smiled.

"Aww.My baby brother loves the little girl.See mom,see.Our Ash already has a crush."

Mrs Salazar laughed and ruffled her son's hair who suddenly looked confused.

She picked her boy up and placed him on her lap.

"So,my baby likes her hair?"Lily asked her son,raising her eyebrows dramatically.

"Her hair is red mama.I never saw red hair.It's pretty.I pulled it in class today.She pinched my hand.It hurt but I laughed because she looked so silly."

"Hey,now now Ash.That's a very bad thing to do.You never pull a girl's hair or anything for that matter.You should say sorry to her."

"But I like it when she scowls."

"See,mom Ash likes it when she gets annoyed because he has a crush on her."

Caroline smiled teaseingly at her little brother.

"What's a crush?I don't even know."

The little boy looked adorable as he looked at his sister and mother with beautiful grey eyes filled with curiosity.

"That means you like her silly."
Caroline giggled.

"I like her hair.She has pretty teeth when she smiles and she cried when she fell down.I was sad when she cried."

He sulks while his mother smirks.She knows it's her son's first puppy love.

"Aww,didn't you help her Ash?She must be hurt.."

Caroline asked.

"I wanted but she don't want to talk to me because I pulled her hair.After that Mrs Jam help her."
He scrunches his nose and says.

"It's OK kiddo."

Lily hugs her kids tightly as she tugs them in bed and kisses their for heads.

"Good-night sweethearts."

She says as she hears loud noise from her room.

Caroline hugs her brother and covers him with blankets so he couldn't see what was going to happen next.

Lily was pulled outside the room and shouting could be heard.

Little Ashton just closed his eyes and tried to sleep.He is very scared.He knows daddy is shouting at mommy.

Daddy always shouts.Daddy is not bad.He loves his daddy very much. He buys toys and chocolates for him and Cara but he shouts at mamma.

Shouting scares him.

"Please don't shout."

He yelps and Caroline tries to make her brother stop from crying more.
